For instance I came in late with this guy and yes usually I’m always late more than him so I got confronted by my supervisor and I asked him if he came up to him too my friend coworker interrupts and says he was just late today his hardly ever late I just laughed it off like why

I am not sure what the question is that you are asking. I don't really think that your friend is the one making you look bad. You admit in your post that you are usually late and always more late than your friend. You are making yourself look bad... not him. By showing up late consisently makes you look bad to your supervisors. If you do it all the time or keep it up you risk losing your job and with good cause. Is there a reason you are always late? Can't you get up a little earlier so that you have more than enough time to make sure you are there when you are supposed to be. It seems like you are missing the very basic function of havin a job by not showing up when you are supposed to. Again that is not your friend making you look bad. You are doing that on your own.
