Guys, what does a woman do that would drive you away?

I have a friend who is always complaining that he's single, and yet he never stays in one place for too long and is ALWAYS turned off by any gal he meets. (Think the "pea eater"/"man hands" episodes of Seinfeld (yadda yadda, lol).)

Then I have another friend who claims to constantly be playing the field, yet he has zero "game" and is very insecure about himself, so he keeps hiding from commitment. Again, very odd things seem to drive him away from a gal.

To me there's no rhyme or reason to either guy's selection process. I'm a little curious what y'all thing would drive a guy away.

The truth is, a lot. Maybe it's a big part of the reason I'm single.

I prefer open and honest communication. If you can't partake in that style of communication, then I assume you're immature and don't want to waste my time with drama like that.

If a girl is uptight and takes everything pretty seriously in life, I can't deal with that either. I make sexual jokes (in moderation and in tasteful moments; not frequently and excessively) to be playful. I use dark humour sometimes as well. If they don't see that I'm joking, then that's an issue of intelligence or being too uptight, not delivery.

If I catch a whiff of them being extremely leftist, calling themselves she/her, they/them, or any of that BS, hating Trump without any reasons they can list, calling people on the right fascists, or attending alphabet festivals and supporting that movement, I'm out.

Those are just the first things that come to mind. I have more for sure. Everyone has their list of pet peeves and things that drive them away from others.

1. I don't know the story with these acquaintances, but some people really don't want any romantic involvement but are unable to admit that to themselves or to others, so they play this charade of looking for love while sabotaging every opportunity.

2. I can tell you what things would drive me away. If a lady is loud, arrogant, rude to others, lacks intelligence, is alcohol or drug dependent, seems to be looking for financial support more than romance, or doesn't understand that relationships are not one-sided. . . any one of those would be a deal breaker.

Pretty much everything. Say 90% of the aspects that embody a personality. Those are in conflict with the aspects that are attractive. The positive aspects are much stronger and can easily overpower the negative aspects. But they grow weaker over time.

But with some guys it seems like if the wind blows the wrong way that’s it, they’re out… meanwhile some of these gals are NICE and the guys are only average in character and looks.

Well, why are they slumming? It's rare to see a 9 with a 5 or 6. Usually it's a 9 with an 8 at least. But being a guy maybe I'm missing some attraction another guy may have.
As far as the wind goes hasn't it always been this way? A lot get a Homer and are gone for the next one.

It depends on the man keep in mind all men are different and someone not being compatible doesn’t make them bad. But you also can’t expect someone to be perfect.

Any type of game playing. Hard to get. Hot and cold… testing. Bye. I don’t want a adult baby to take care of or play stupid games. People who want partnerships and a relationship want to take care of someone who also takes care for them. Who can build a future. Bring peace and stability. And support one another.

People who don’t want that. Want relationships for control, sex, money, social status, just to have kids, and a whole list of other things. A lot of immature men and women just genuinely repulse and chase awah everyone decent. Then sah nobody good is left.

There are a few that are absolute deal breakers

She's on her phone constantly.

She does illegal drugs of any kind.

She's addicted to prescription drugs

She smokes

She's an alcoholic..

She gets drunk frequently

She goes clubbing

She, while dating, expects me to pay for everything (and I don't mean dates I mean rent and bills)

She's mean to children, or doesn't want children.

She's mean to animals (I have two cats who are more important to me than any date)

She's a political activist on any side of the political spectrum. I hate activists.

She values things more than people.

There are others, but those will make a first date end prematurely, if I were dating. Thank God I'm married.

Also if she's a racist.. I dated a girl once, when I was 19, I liked her, she was absolutely stunning appearance wise.. But she, and I quote, after sex, said "you haven't dated any black girls have you?" I said no "good because I could be with you if you had, black girls are dirty" I kicked her out of my home and made her call her dad to pick her up.

Yeah she actually said that. I was young at the time, but I still had goddamn principles, and my grandfather always taught me that the only thing that matters about a person is their character, not the color of their skin.. So as you can imagine, her words pissed me off pretty badly.

I don't think I've ever actually heard anyone say anything like that. Presumably she wasn't in your life for long. I know you're with much better now.

Oh you're absolutely right. I blame her father for sentiments like that, he was umm well he was the type to harbor sentiments like that, had the confederate battle flag hung up at home and the like.. I dodged a bullet.

I just saw the rent and bills one. Smh. I know a girl who has a pile of sugar daddies with each one paying one thing and she keeps them all on the hook while she dug into the guy I was interested in. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah I've seen women out there that say rent and bills are a requirement for dating, and I'm like "we aren't even married yet wtf"

Some guy do. Not me - if I think she is expecting me to do all the chasing, pay for everything and not get anything in return, I'm going elsewhere. The gold digger look isn't an attractive one to me and I can normally see right through it.
When I was less experienced and did do some chasing, I quickly found out how shallow those types are girls are emotionally.

I have the opposite. The guy who mooches off me or sees I'm treating and orders the expensive stuff.

Wealthy, no. Hard working though, so I know how to make things happen. Guys take advantage of that.
