If a guy says he never wants to lose you and really likes you; but is very busy with life right now, is it plausible or an excuse?

I don’t want to remove all plausibility, because I totally get that men can have busy schedules. On a broader scope though, I do think it’s more of an excuse because I believe that even if he wasn’t ready before, if a man finds the right woman he will get ready. There are plenty of husbands out there who own businesses, work full time, school full time, etc etc but still manage to maintain their lives outside of those obligations.


It’s about priorities and arranging them from most important to least. For example, some guys go to the gym, guys nights out, go spend time with family, play video games, essentially having some sort of life. If they really wanted to, they’d adjust those schedules to accommodate having a wife and family, as we see so many working fathers do every day.

Both when I have done that in the past it was because I felt like I wasn't good enough for her but ran from that idea in my mind. I liked her and wanted to never lose her but in my mind I didn't deserve to have her in the first place. Those ideas fought each other and my unclear intentions got in my way causing me to do exactly what I said I never would... that was me before I was aware that, I am aware. I can't speak for dude but when I made that mistake it was because I didn't yet understand or see my shadow self. Men hide from the thoughts we don't like. The world makes us feel like it's not ok to not be good enough. hiding that idea from ourselve manifest in a lot of negative ways. That's the best I got... im sorry I'm able to answer this question if that helps any.

It's bullshit 99.9% of the time. If he really meant it, he'd find a way to make sure you believed it, because it was true. "I'm busy with life", or "I have to work on myself", is always bullshit. A guy can say to you "Hey, I'm a work in progress and I'm not where I want to be just yet, but I know I want to be with you no matter what. Can we make this work?" If you don't hear that or something like it that's truly powerful and sincere, just walk away.
