It's certainly not likely that children from a man over 40 will have a genetic defect. The chance gradually increases with age, but it's still small. Nor do older men necessarily lose their fertility. There are thousands of children born every day with fathers over 40.

Sure. But there could be many factors to that.. There could be a casual correlation rather than a direct one.. Like maybe kids with older fathers go to the doctors to see about Autism, or maybe there is just more diagnosis and the father's happen to be older..
