Met this guy on a serious religious app. He's in a different state. He got my phone number and immediately asked to talk on the phone. We had a good intro convo and he said he hates texting he would rather call. We talked about both looking for something serious. First few days he kept calling me or asking me to call him bc i dont always answer right away (busy). So i started just calling him whenever i was free and we would talk for hours and basically the whole day (sometimes we would just be on the phone quiet both just working but we have each other presence).
Then one day he said he'll call me back and he never did, he just ended up texting me something random never said anything about him not calling again. And then i noticed he stopped saying "good morning" or "sorry i fell asleep" like he always use to in the beginning. So i stopped calling him the past 2 days and he hasn't even initiated or asked to call me but we been texting a bit and bantering a bit, sent some instagram reels, a bit of flirting.
Is he waiting for me to call like always? Should i even call him if his effort kinda died down or should I wait for him?

This could be the honeymoon phase wearing off. Everything was new and exciting, but now reality is starting to set in and in all honesty he may not be interested in signing up for an LDR. Have you two talked about hanging out? Or what the long term plan would be? Is one moving any closer to the other in a timely fashion?
It’s only been about 2 weeks honeymoon wears off that fast? We haven’t talking about hanging out yet. But one of the first things he asked is if I would be comfortable moving there when things got serious and I made it clear that’s fine
Honestly yeah, sometimes the honeymooning ends quicker than that lol blame the world of online dating. People have become especially picky with matches because if there’s something about you they’re not feeling, then their next option is only a swipe away. If I were you, that’s what I would be doing, swiping rather than putting all your eggs into his basket per-se. I’d also be asking about a hangout before I invest another lengthy phone call or any substantial feelings into that man. Because why get your feelings all caught up only to find out that he isn’t really interested in doing what it takes to make an LDR work?
He is probably asking himself the same questions. Is this one of those too-proud-to-make-the-first-move things?
Trueee. I just didn’t want to be doing too much and always calling first. I wanted to see if he would step up.
