“Hope life treats you well” as a goodbye text means he does not want to talk to me again?

I dont talk much to this person and actually haven't seen him for years, but recently i texted a guy to tell him something just for him to know, but we kept the conversation short, specially him, answering with one word replies, it seems like he was not interested at all but still try to not be mean or leave me on seen, then he cut it off suddenly and say “well, hope life treats you well.” (It was at night and i thought he could just say good night instead)
Was that because he does not want to text him again? Im kinda confused or maybe im just overthinking a bit.

In life the only way to move is forward & after receiving one word messages it’s clear he is not interested in talking to you. It’s possible he doesn’t like texting however in this case he is brushing you off.

As for the “Hope life treats you well” that is another way of saying farewell, goodbye or go pound sand in a nicer way.

Yeah, unfortunately some people can’t be direct. At a certain point it’s best to leave someone be… at the end of the day you wouldn’t want someone you’re not really that into blowing you up.

You can also ask a direct question. But ignoring you…. One word responses. And that…. Yeah. I’m saying not
