Men, why do some men intentionally hurt women?

Abusive behavior is often driven by a belief that controlling or punishing a partner is justifiable. Men who feel powerless in other areas of life like career or finances may use their partner as an emotional punching bag to regain a sense of dominance.

Men who grew up in unstable or abusive environments may have learned that pain is a normal part of love. They may subconsciously project past resentment toward a parent onto a kind partner who feels safe enough to lash out at.

Continuing to allow someone to take you for granted only reinforces the behavior. If a man is unwilling to acknowledge the hurt leaving is the only way to protect your own well-being.

Because some people have a hard time showing their love for someone , so they hurt them instead , I said people , because girls’ do this as well. My ex was this way , because she had a pretty shitty upbringing so she has more of a negative mindset over a positive one , they believe no one can love them because they barely felt love from anyone growing up. So instead of accepting it
, they put a wall up to prevent them from accepting it. Sadly it’s a shitty relationship to be in with someone because they are more miserable that happy. Most times they have serious insecurities an issues that they can not overcome. For a long time I thought I could love my ex the way she should be loved but with all her walls and negativity it was hard to continue loving her , so I threw in the towel on her negative ass and met a girl that had more of a positive outlook on things , which is the best relationship I have been in for a long ass time

Some men hurt women because they believe they’re entitled to dominance and emotional control. It is a mental illness some are hardwired with.

Honestly I don’t think men really want to hurt women’s feelings. Most men know that as strong as women say they are emotionally, most of them aren’t. Women are more likely to experience neuroticism than men. Yes there are some men who are just straight out assholes who will hurt her feelings. Some do retaliate in response to how she hurt him. But deep down I don’t think k the majority of men are out there hurting women’s feelings intentionally. But too, for example on this forum. When women ask questions a lot of men will be honest, because women say they want honesty. Doesn’t mean he cussed at her or something like that. But let’s say she asked for a rating on her looks. The men said ok from men’s views she’s a 4-5, now she got her feelings hurt. So she took that as these men are assholes, they’re just out to hurt women’s feelings. When in reality they really weren’t, they were just honest w their opinions.
