I met a guy in late 2024 on tinder and we went on two dates. Both were fun (1st was getting ice cream and going to a walking trail, 2nd was watching The Shining at his place and drinking frozen margaritas). We seemed to vibe with each other.
Unfortunately I made the dumb mistake of hooking up with him after our second date. After the 2nd date/hookup, I asked him out for a third to get some food and he never responded. I know hooking up with him that early was a bad idea but I was trying to make more spontaneous decisions at the time and it obviously backfired.
It wasn't until 10 months later (summer 2025) that he responded "Yes" to me asking him out. Now during this time, I had completely forgotten about him and moved on because he blatantly ghosted me. I just assumed he wasn't interested in a relationship and just wanted to hit it and quit it. I had already started a relationship with someone else and had deleted his number so I didn't recognize it. I sent a "?" For clarification, no response. I deleted the message thinking it was a scam.
Two weeks later, he messages me again, with just a "Yo". Again, I don't recognize the number because it's been close to a year since we had an actual conversation. I text back "Yo" just to see if I can find out who it is because you never know if someone switched numbers, or if it's an old friend etc. They don't respond for a while so I decide to reverse search the number.
I find out its the same guy who ghosted me from Tinder and call him out for his behavior. I told him he needed to apologize or delete my number. After some time, He did apologize. I thank him for doing so and tell him that he has to move on and so have I. He doesn't respond.
Fast forward to now (6+ months later) he wants to date again. Im so confused. If he actually had feelings for me why would he just disappear and start putting so much effort in over a year later? Why would he try and make me feel bad about rejecting him when he doesn't like me?
