Why is this guy pulling away now that meeting in person is real?

He has been turning around for months (we met abroad). Now he’s coming a bit in Europe for work and soon in a city close to mine. A few months ago he was trying to see if I wanted to spend some time with him.

Now we finally have the possibility to really meet again. He was very enthusiast and the more it’s getting close the more he’s like a bit distant like he tries to adjust his timetable to see me and then doesn’t want to make « plans » and wants to see on the moment.

is it because he’s scared? Afraid of « commitment » for something so simple?

People talk to people they like to see if they get along well and determine if there’s any potential fot anything serious devopiing. During tat back-and-forth people see personality traits that they don’t like Or notice what they considered to be red flags., It’s possible he could’ve got to know you better and realized that the relationship wasn’t wiorth pursuing Work. Maybe he might have met someone else or could be actively dealing with someone else.

Distance is basically a cheat code for seeming emotionally available, no effort required, just vibes and time zones. The second an actual date with an actual calendar becomes possible, some people suddenly discover they were more into the idea of you than the reality.

Seems like he just wants sex. Because think of it this way... if sex was on the table he'd deff meet up. Or he might be nervous... either way he doesn't seem serious

It could be a mix of both 🤣 just to explain : We still are in « getting to know each other » phase. He came back a lot to me since I came back in my country. And yes he was a bit nervous with me already when I was there. He’s a bit shy and introverted.
The thing is that he can +_ extend his stay to see me. He started to adjust his plans and then he said suddenly « for now I just flow. No plans » 😅 but it’s just kind of organizing a bit

Yes let’s see what happens. He seemed to like me a lot when I was there, but also a bit shy. He seems a bit controlling too so maybe there s nervousness. I ll see how he behaves
