If I am attracted to her already and her mom decides to set us up , I would probably be all about it and smile that her Mom is trying to set us up , but if I wasn’t attracted to her , then I would just tell the Mom sorry your daughter isn’t my type but I am flattered that you found me as a potential partner for your daughter. No matter what, i tend to treat everyone with respect whether I am attracted to someone or not because I am the type of guy that puts myself in someone else’s’ shoes and think how I would feel if that was me pursuing someone. I don’t know if this guy was just being polite but he did write his number down per request… but I don't know if he felt obligated or intimidated/ insecure because we are kind of at different levels in life even though he has a plan.. he was our waiter very kind.. he asked me where I’m from and what brought me all the way to this state and I told him teaching.. but I told him I wanted to go into nursing..

Then he shares his story and says in the middle of changing his major to aviation.. I kind of got a sense that he didn’t want to be looked at as just a subservient.. I may be 4 years older than him.

Yea that might of made him assume you that you might not be interested in him because of your differences in jobs. Sadly that’s usually the case but not always true Why people shouldn’t automatically assume the worst case scenarios. But unfortunately most people do. So if you like him , give him a call otherwise he is going to assume you aren’t interested in him , as for the age difference, 4 years isn’t that big of a age gap, my ex was 4 years older than me and her and I ended up getting married and having kids’ and were together for a little over 20 years , until she decided to be selfish and end our marriage once the kids’ got older , which broke my heart but that doesn’t mean the same thing is going to happen with you. So now I am seeking a younger girl because I already experienced a older girl lol
