Ok it’s a bit more complicated than that.., so my friend has been seeing this guy who is 36 (divorced two years ago) for the last 1.5 year.

He was actually with his ex wife for 10 years and married for 7 months after he caught his wife with another woman, I know right.

Anyway, I’ve recently started working for the same company as this guy and in the last two weeks I’ve heard rumors about him with other women. He is very close to a young team member who is very attractive and they go for coffee and one to one lunches a lot. She kind of leaches onto him, so I think it’s more her than him, but still.

Another girl told me yesterday at after work drinks that he gives a lot of the other girls the eyes (as in come to bed eyes), flirts and she said it’s a bit of a running joke with the girls in her team as they have all experienced it.

Anyway. my point is I know guys obviously look at other women but the fact he’s so blatant about it concerns me and disrespectful, meanwhile my friend (his girlfriend) who is 30 thinks she is lucky to be with him (he’s very good looking and good career) and I’m starting to wonder if he really is into my friend or If he’s just using her. I think maybe he’s a bit broken. Thoughts guys?

It's quite a challenge, for you, to examine his behaviour and reactions unless you have enough access to him to do so. Your friend is in a much better position for that quest.

And if she's happy with him, your enquiry shall naturally look off-putting to her, unless you and her two have a very well established connection?

In your seat, I would try to make her talk about him, to understand how deep goes her understanding of him and how ready she is to question her views about him.

Basically I would make her reflect on what she grasps from him, hoping it would increase her caution.

My thoughts. You sure these women aren’t just making it up. Maybe they’re jealous. Maybe they just want to be part of that group that is saying oh he’s checking me out so they don’t feel left out or get their feelings hurt that he’s not “checking them out” too. It could just be who he is. These days from what I’ve read as well as experienced as a man, I can’t even be nice to a girl, laugh, joke w her. I’m flirting. So someone else will ask me about it. If a man openly flirts and checks out women, then it is a sign of a perfectly healthy heterosexual man responding to the urges that biology provided him with to ensure that he continues the existence of the human species, not a red flag. Some men are blatant about it, while others are lowkey. In any case, flirting and checking out women is not harmful in any fashion. It only becomes a "red flag" when he refuses to accept boundaries, such as through unwanted touching, stalking, or continuing to flirt when asked not to. At that point, it crosses over to sexual harassment, which should be reported.

I would say if he’s doing it in front of her he’s letting her know don’t take him seriously. If he’s doing it behind her back then he’s probably seeking attention and I would probably let her know what some of the girls are saying. I had my work husband and would constantly flirt even in a relationship to lighten the work day or kill time. My work husband was like one of the few reasons why I enjoyed going to work and stayed with the company so long.
