Terrified of massive dog poop DNA fines at my apartment—what can I do?

I live in the one bedroom apartment with my boyfriend and I pay $1400 a month.
Recently, they hit me with a huge fine 400$ for 3 unpicked poops.
It’s my boyfriend’s dog and the reason they know it because when my registered the dog they did the swab DNA test.
So they told me that they picked up the order poops.
My boyfriend didn’t know about the rules for the first two weeks that he moved in with me.
So I’m scared if it’s gonna be more 10+ unpicked up poops.
Cause it will add up and be a 5000+$ fine easily or more.
The thing is that I’m barely making it with my car payments and car insurance.
I make 2200 a month plus $200 a week from my side hustle job.
So when they hit me with more fines, I can’t afford it, and I don’t know what to do.

His dog, he pays. Ignorance of the rules does not absolve him from the consequences of breaking them. Dog owners shouldn't have to be reminded to clean up after their dogs.

Well, they do the DNA test so they pick up the poop and send it to the lab and find out which dog.

The only other thing to do is tell them your dog identifies as human and they are serious breach of it's/they/thems civil rights.
