Do guys need strong chemistry to date, or is compatibility enough?

I always thought chemistry was a given to go out with someone, but is this not the case for guys? Out of intense passionate chemistry or easy going compatibility which is more common?

I have plenty of friends. I don't need a female friend to spend my time, money, and emotional capital on. If there's no or low passion, you're a buddy. You're paying your own way and I may be busy with another woman with a lot more passion than you when you call or text. We can still hang out at group events and talk, joke, laugh or high five. But don't count on me when you need emotional support or help. I won't be there for you because you aren't there for me. I'm not here for your convenience. You're just someone I know. If I give you those things, I'm potentially taking them away from someone who actually prioritizes me. Why would I do that?

Yeah it is. That's why people are obsessed with finding it. But for me personally, I'm not compromising my standards just to have a warm body to talk to. I'm fine on my own if I can't find the chemistry I'm looking for.

Good luck finding what expectation is more common, that survey will take forever lol. And that implies people will answer your survey correctly. I wouldn't count on that.

I think it's safe to assume that all possible tastes being considered, some guys will relate more to "intensity" and some will relate more to "easy going"

Thinking of it, I can imagine guys fearing their own attraction, wanting things to be more sedate instead because they would distrust or dislike chaotic aspects of intensity. And I can imagine guys who don't feel intensity, they would be intrinsically cold on the spectrum?

In the beginning you need to have chemistry for things to flow. Compatibility will play a big part in determining if things can move forward or not.

I think it could also depend on the person. Some men might prefer dating a woman with more similarities because sometimes it’s easier to build an emotional connection through shared interests and experiences.

I need the intense chemistry feeling. I didn't know such a thing existed, but one extraordinary girl made me experience them. I see no reason why those feelings couldn't exist with someone compatible.
