I brought up how I could be more feminine and he eventually added “men like women that fix up. If women don’t fix up, men would just be with each other” and then he went on to say “it’s irony” when I was weirded out by what he said.

Is he not straight? Would a straight guy say this?

He recently said he would wanna go to an LGBT party cuz they seem fun. I asked how he seems to know they’re fun. He said he’s seen movies, like Freddie Mercury.

If by "fix up" he meant women who show some effort to look their best, then no he's not gay. He's making a pretty straightforward observation that men tend to like women who make some effort. That's the opposite of gay. It means that if a woman doesn't show him that effort he'll likely dump her and look for a woman who does make an effort, not some guy. How did you get this message so utterly confused? Oh wait, I get it, you didn't like the message.

It is a weird comment but it is hard to say from just how you put it here, maybe he was making a joke that didn’t mean that much and his point was just “why would we bother if women don’t look good” or something like that. I think what he was saying is that if it wasn't for sex and sexual allure men wouldn't bother with women. I put it that if it wasn't for sex I'd live with my sister.

We stayed at an AirBnb that I picked. It was an art house, but he was convinced they were LGBT cuz he saw a rainbow carpet. And so we were discussing that and somehow he brought that up. Can’t remember how now.
