How do I get my boyfriend to clean his car tf out?

Look, I know it's his car and everything but he has PILES of trash in the back, banana peels, candy bags. When it comes to us driving somewhere or when he gets asked to drive someone, he ALWAYS asks if he can use my car because his is 'dirty' and 'embarrassing'. Like yeah, so clean it. When I tell him no (because he damaged my car 3 times already when he used it and I dont want him driving my car) he gets pissed off. Like tf?

Whether it's a room or a car or a desk a guy wants HIS SPACE that doesn't look, sound or smell like a gal. It's why they have those horrible "cigar and whiskey night" events or the "man cave" space. A guy needs his cave... yours keeps his on wheels.

I'm not saying he should keep it unhealthy. But keep your limit. If he needs his man cave to be however he chooses (clean or sloppy), that's on him. You want your car to look and smell like you. Period. If he asks you for help, a little tough love and give him your recommended Linen-Scented air freshener (or a sandalwood/leather scent if he has leather seats).

I would not get in a car in that state unless I really had to like if my car broke down and that is how the car is of the person who offers me a ride. Maybe that would be weird at this point if you have been riding in the car and a sudden change would seem like an escalation but in any case I would tell him he needs to deal with it. If he asked for help I would help him, I would even do most of it if he asked bc I know for whatever reason this is hard for some guys but I would want him to act like he cares and make at least some effort. JMO!

The state of this disgusting car is a reflection of this individuals attitude towards life in general., and it's a reflection on you for being with this individual.

Give him an ultimatum, the car will be cleaned inside and out and maintained to this standard or it's all over , simple , you can't be with an absolute sloppy pig like this , it will only bring you down.

The car will be inspected every two weeks.

Do you want to be in a relationship with a slob? One thing I learned from dating a manchild is that you can't "get" a guy to do anything. You cannot drag a guy into adulthood, it's not your job to polish him up or sculpt him into a better version of himself. He has to want that on his own and you're gonna end up burned out and resentful. If sloppiness is a dealbreaker for you, you've got your whole life ahead of you to find a man who respects his own belongings, takes pride in himself and his space, and cares enough about you to come correct and make sure you're in a presentable, clean environment.

Set a firm, immovable boundary. Since your car is your personal property and he has a track record of damaging it you are completely justified in saying no. Offer a clear choice: he either drives his own car, or he takes the initiative to clean it out himself. Encourage him to keep a designated, small trash bin inside the vehicle to stop piles from accumulating.

Lol you dump him. He’s not going to change that behavior most likely. Also for you to let him burrow your card a 3rd time after he damaged it twice previously, that’s on you. Girl you need a cleaner and more careful boyfriend. If you keep lending your car, he has no reason to clean his. He simply sounds lazy. I'd find someone more in line with my general rules for care and hygience... Just a thought.

Suggest he take it to a full service car wash so he doesn't have to do any of the cleaning. If you are feeling very nice, consider getting him a gift certificate for it the first time and maybe he will like it and continue it.

My car can get pretty bad, but it would be significantly better if I was in relationship. You should just not let him borrow your car. It takes maybe 30 minutes to clean if you vacuum.
