Just tell your boyfriend you love it when he opens the car door for you and it'll click. It doesn't get much simpler than that. Do not beat around the bush and be clear.

I personally wouldn’t ask him to do this. When you start asking for stuff like that, it becomes inauthentic because many men that do stuff naturally do it. You are asking him to be someone he isn’t.
