This guy had once said your dad worked hard so you didn’t have to.

he was also saying things like you sound like you’re a really sweet person etc.

But the first part annoyed me. Like he’s making a judgment about me without even knowing me. Oh the irony. I did work super hard he just doesn’t know the trajectory

Silly thing to say. He probably didn’t mean any harm, but randomly talking about people’s families and making assumptions about their personal lives shows a pretty embarrassing lack of basic social awareness. I’d interact with him as little as possible.
