Ok, so me and my boyfriend have been going through a rough patch (caused by him) and at the same time he's been busy with work. I invited him to hangout with my grandparents and I, but he told me that he didn't want to cuz he's tired (understandable). However, he also said he's still planning on coming over later that day. When I asked what time he wanted to come over, he said 3-5pm, which is when the hangout with my grandparents is happening. I said that at that point he should just come with me to meet my grandparents. He said that his brother also asked him to go see his football game on that day. So i told him he should go to that. Then he said "we'll see, i might just stay home and relax. ". Am i wrong for feeling like he just doesn't want to be around me? It sounds like he's just making excuses. Please tell me I'm overthinking.

You're not overthinking this.
When someone shifts their story that many times, it usually signals that they are dodging a specific situation rather than just managing a busy schedule.
I can see this point of view. I really hope that's not the case. Im hoping that I'm just imagining it.
Honestly maybe he just doesn’t want to be around others. He said he may not even go to his brother’s game. If he’s meeting your grandparents for the first time maybe he isn’t ready for that yet. Maybe he feels he is t in his right state of mind yet. There’s times when I say I may do this, but then I may just stay home or I’ll see. It all depends on how I feel that next day. Nothing wrong w that. You’re thinking too much into it.
No I think he just wants your company. Maybe he doesn’t want to be around a lot of people.
Relationship is waste of time. Make a lot of money by doing anything. Money talks
That's not helpful. I believe I'm having a successful career and relationship. The two aren't mutually exclusive, tho I'm sure it's easier to think that way
