Why do less conventionally attractive girls get hit on more often?

Something I’ve noticed and I’m curious if anyone else has seen this. I know beauty is subjective, but I have two friends and I’d say one of them is pretty clearly more conventionally attractive than the other. They’re in basically the same social circles and go to the same places, but the other girl gets hit on and approached by guys way more often.

What makes it even more confusing is that the girl who gets approached more is actually more socially awkward, so I would’ve expected the opposite. Why do you think this happens? Is it about looking more approachable, guys being intimidated, or something else?

Well for one a lot of men don’t like women who are look at me, look at me I’m the center of attention. We tend to like women who are more quiet, reserved. We don’t like all that attention. So if she’s attention seeking trying to get all this attention it can be a turn off. Men would prefer a girl who isn’t famous compared to a girl who is famous. I’ve noticed a lot of pretty, cute girls on social media don’t have much talent other than dancing, shaking their ass or posting some provocative video. I’m not saying men don’t like that, cause we do. But a lot of men see women like that as recreational use. A lot of pretty women are boring because they’ve never had to develop a personality because they got everything handed to them because of their looks. I’d rather take the shy, awkward girl than the one who is trying to be the center of attention. Yes looks matter a lot to men but if she’s got a bad personality, those looks don’t matter. They only matter at that point as far as trying to sleep w her.

Some guys may be intimidated or they might think they have a better chance with someone that is out of their league. Have you had any experiences like this?

If a girl is very hot a lot of guys won't bother because they think thay will get shot down.
