How would you define mirroring?

I've heard from people that mirroring is a sign of interest.

How is it a sign of interest? Why do people mirror? I can ask so many questions about mirroring that I don't know the answer to.

Well I might have examples what I might think could be mirroring, but I'm not sure: Whenever I look back, she looks the same way. This one time I wave my arms around, she does it too. I walked backwards and a few seconds later she began to walk backwards.

I'll give you an example of my experience: I think I may have realized I did it but only realized after. I had a crush on this guy and mid-conversation he said he need a drink. And well, me being the girl pretending not to have a crush on him, also took my glass and took a sip. Not because I was thirsty. I realized after I did it that I just mirrored him, and it was almost a reflex because I really had no need for another sip of my drink! (At least, I was sure it was mirroring on my account)

I think its a sign of interest because when looking for a potential partner, people want to see things that they have in common. Because if one person sees that the other person reacts this certain way, they'll appear more compatible with each other because of those similar reactions/interests/movements/anything. I hope this made sense and helped :)

means she is always around you.

if you are in a certain place she would stay there ...but not because you are eating she would eat !

she will try to keep you in her field of vision and stay in the same place as you are, that's it !

but maybe sometimes she would feel how obvious that she likes you, and try to keep away...so you wouldn't feel what she is trying to hide in a way or another... that's how it goes I think !

this might happen, because she is concentrating on every single move you do, so she might be mirroring you sub-consciously without intending to do it at all!
