Guys, is it a turn off if a girl is into astrology?

I'm really into astrology, tarot, psychics, intuition, etc. I find it fascinating and it is somewhat intertwined with psychology - another passion of mine. However, I'm afraid a guy would think it's weird or BS that I believe in the more altruistic stuff and reject me.

For the sake of argument, let's say astrology doesn't conflict with your beliefs, but you also don't buy into it. Would it be a deal breaker for you if the girl you dated studied it intensely as a hobby?

As long as you are open to discard beliefs that are demonstrably wrong, I have no problem with it.

But if you go on believing in stuff that require you to discard hard factual knowledge for it to be true, then it is a big big turnoff.

Say Homeopathy. If homeopathy was even remotely true we would have to discard almost everything we know about nature, physics and reality.

But if you believe that an undetectable, outside-of-physics, omnipotent spirit exist and may sometimes guide the real world so that the outcome is beneficial to you. I have no problem.

If you on the other hand believe that God has given you the healing touch and you have the ability to Heal diseases on your own whim. Then I have to demand statistical evidence for your claim.

It's pretty common for girls to have some sort of interest in astrology, at least for fun. It comes up in casual flirty conversation and pillow talk enough to be considered usual in my book. As far as psychics and all that, girls always tend to be astounded when I know things that they can't comprehend how I know or figured it out... 99% of the time it's my intuition, 1% of the time it's a con for entertainment purposes and I usually show them the trick. =) I don't see any problem with a girl being interested in the mystery of it all, but if she's on the phone tot he psychic hot line for $5.99 a minute or she has to check her tarot cards before making a decision that's kind of taking it too far. You should be able to think and make decisions for yourself.

A guy who really likes you would not really care at all. Some guys are into that stuff anyways. Of course, some guys are not going to like it, but think of different hobbies you like and don't like for a guy to have. Same kinda thing.

The truth is that there are going to be some guys who are probably going to think it's weird/bs and some guys who are indifferent. Whether or not they choose to reject you because of what you like or are interested in is in their hands. But at the end of the day, someone who truly loves you, will take the good with the bad. And imo, if someone chose to end a relationship or refuse a relationship because of something like, I'd think it were completely ridiculous.

well, everybody has faith. everybody has belief. why is only astrology considered weird stuff ? come on! almost every faith and belief has its own supernatural stories. including the famous and infamous ones.

Well, a Christian (Or Catholic, or Jewish, or Muslim) guy would not be interested in that kind of person.

Then there's Atheists, who would think you are stupid.

And then there are psychologists, who would be offended that you are tainting their already kinda soft science with this gas station bull sh*t.

So really, you arn't left with many demographics. Your only hope is to be really hot and give excellent blowjobs. That usually covers for crazy.
