I cried after "In the name of the father". Not hysterically (that must be really unattractive) but tears were definitely rolling down my face. I don't care what anyone thinks, that story just made me really angry (it's a true story) and I just had to let it out.
But to be honest I surprised myself because I hardly ever cry.
I certainly wouldn't be ashamed or wish that he were "a real man"... I just am not emotional in that way, and cannot recall ever tearing up while watching a film. It might make me silently uncomfortable, because I wouldn't know how to react (if at all).
Maybe not those films, but I would find it kind of adorable if a guy was actually affected by something like that. I hate it when guys act like they don't have emotions cause they think it makes them macho, a bit of (appropriate) sensitivity is a real emotional tug for me and would make me feel closer to him
I've never liked The Notebook, and Titanic is toooo long and the love story part of it is kinda ridiculous. If it was actually a decent chick flick and he shed a couple tears or sniffled, I'd probably say "awwww" but giggle a little at the same time. It would be more sweet if he'd somehow compare compare us to the couple in the movie. lol
not sure about those movies, I didn't even cry to titanic...and never saw The notebook...but I cry so hard to the Korean Horror movie A Tale of Two Sisters, it's not really scary at all but the story is amazing, but very sad, based off of a Korean folklore...that's a movie worth crying for

Oh...honey? Are you okay? It's just a movie.
But it'd be adorable. My boyfriend is very open with his emotions. It damn near breaks my heart when he gets upset and looks like he's trying not to cry. I just want to hold him and make it all better. But I can't. Because he is 6'5 and I am 5'4. And he would squish me. :)
If I were crying and he were crying, I assume we'd just hold each other and cry together :)

I didn't cry lol. I was watching Titanic and I don't know I got real sad for some reason and NEARLY got teary eyed.
But anyway, aww :3 You two sound like a cute couple lol
I picked A because I don't think crying during a movie is a turn off, HOWEVER I don't get all emotional during movies so I might laugh at him...but not to be intentionally mean, it would just slip out...I'm a d***.
I think it is weird for a man to never cry. If something is sad it is perfectly fine to shed a tear or two. Guess what it is called human emotions. The last time I checked men qualify as being part of the human race.
Well, I cry during some of them, not those two movies...at all. So why wouldn't a man get choked up once in awhile? I would hope that he has some kind of feelings. Now bluppering every movie? I wouldn't like that from man or woman.
If he is flat out bawling or crying kinda hard, I'd just feel wierd. I'm the feminine one here, you're supposed to be comforting me... If it was just like one tear or for just a short time, I'd find it cute.
now when you say cry women you think it is sexy what about a man who does cry but hides it because he feels it makes him look week like I do.I have old Ideals where you cry you are week.In my mind that is how I think. So you would want to see me cry?
Oh, well I assumed you replied to one of my comments that got removed or were you just replying to your own comment because don't remember commenting lol
but if it was a movie like...'Amistad' which talks about slavery or some gory movie about holy war in Pakistan *if he was Pakistani* or a movie about the Halocaust *if he was Jewish*, I'd be understanding, appreciate that he feels comfortable crying in front of me, wrap my arms around him and give him a big kiss
oh hells no! I wouldn't do that. That would just be plain insensitive and b*tchy. But if he's crying over Pretty Woman with Julia Roberts, I can't gaurantee chuckles won't escape! lol!
here, how's this...I'd wrap my arms around his neck like 'aww, it's okay' and then chuckle :) , but pat him on the back so he knows I still think he's the man
awwwwww so cute <3 my boyfriend cried alil nd so was I whn we watched I am legend lololol we don't normally cry hardly but I don't know it was just the whole he had to kill his dog part I guess I get emotional over animals dieing like tht in movies ha ha nd 4 my boyfriend it was the whole a man nd his dog thing but yea a man showing his emotions is manly lol but he's only tht comfortable to do tht around me =^-^= hahaha

Ya'll ain't the only one! Whenever someone brings up that scene in the movie, a lot of people admit to crying or getting really emotional lol!
Personally, it is a turn off because I don't even cry on sad movies; However, if he cries I wouldn't stop him, laugh nor say anything.. In a way it takes a lot of... courage to express ones feelings so openly...
I don't cry when I watch chick flicks. I only cry at movies that have some sort of significance. I cried at the end of Schindler's List. That kind of thing. But, if my boyfriend showed his emotions, which he does, I would think it'd be cute.

I think they like the idea, but if he was a really sensitive guy all the time I think it would get old quick. I'm pretty detached so yeah..
Yeah, that's what I reckon as well.
There's crying and there's crying.

I would think it was very endearing. It would make me love him more.
Cool lol
I would really rather have a man who is willing to cry than an emotionless brick.
Interesting...
Well, with the 2 movies mentioned - I would think there was something wrong with him!
A movie about Pearl Harbor and a tear shed, or Saving Private Ryan - okay!
Those two movies make me teary eyed lol
I cried watching Martian Child, at the end...cause I could relate to the story and made me think about my past :(
Did you believe you were from Mars lol?

Thanks :) I like to think so. Neither of us are big criers, but we aren't afraid to cry in front of each other if the need arises.
Haha, cute :P

I thought men were from Mars?
The biggest problem between man and women is lack of communicate. The lack of telling of each other needs and wants and other such details.
Yeah, I agree.

the answer is hell no I never cry
Did my comment get removed?
Might have the only one I have seen is did my comment get removed.lol

I'd laugh, if not out loud, chuckle like a mad woman deep down inside lol
lol
Yeah, I do the same when other guys cry lol

The wrapping you arms around his neck and saying "aww" with a sight chuckle is nice a nice gesture but I'd be like "wtf lol" at the pat on the back :P
lol!
lol
