Is batting eyelashes a clear signal to guys that the girl likes him?

I was viewing a video on YouTube and one of the comments there was the inspiration for my question, the comment is: "Hmm it doesn't really look cute when its super super fast like that but I guess it does let a man know you like him, which is good because its hard to tell sometimes what ladies are thinking."

I am really wondering, do girls really think that? Is it 100% sure that when a girl bats her eyelashes/bats her eyes that she is indicating that she is interested in the guy?

I also wonder if it's a huge sign for us guys if it's done unconsciously - such as if you see a guy you like walk somewhere where you haven't seen him before and wasn't at all expecting to see him

lol she blinked calm down, only cheesy stereotypes have us blinking like nicki minaj on cocaine when we like a guy. it looks silly so we don't do it, wed rather smile or twist a strand of hair.

if she fluttered her lashes she probably caught something in her eye or was trying not to sneeze

Uuuhhmm, I am calm. Haven't seen that Nicki Minaj video so can't comment on that and not going to hunt that down. But according to all the things I've read you most certainly "bat your eyes" in conversation.

And I've never ever seen anyone batting their eyes like that if they are trying not to sneeze; and I thought at first she must have had something big in her eye, but then again she would have had her finger near her eyes

so you'll believe something you read off the internet over real girls, it'd have been quicker and easier for her to just smile at you not flutter her lashes. no female I know has ever done that to a guy, it looks like you're having a seizure.:l

lots of people bat their eyes to stop them watering if theyre about to sneeze and its particularly tickly, she could have had something in her eye and not wanted to smudge her makeup either.

i see, well you can believe what you like I'm not going to bother proving myself to someone who doesn't like a truthful answer so resorts to insults. if her eyes followed you as you walked past then maybe she did flutter them at you but as she was separated by a window and it was too quick to be in sight for more than a second I doubt it, especially if there was no smile accompanying the fluttering.

I have never consciously batted my eyelashes at a guy to display interest. Smiling and starting a conversation are my basic methods of getting a guys attention.

Nah I think that's a terrible method of flirting even if it's subconscious, even my eyes do it sometimes when I'm not doing anything in particular. I prefer to go by full body language or by analysing what she says, or to simplify it better I flirt and see how she responds to it.

That's one of the things I thought about, but she probably would have held her finger near her eye - I've never seen anyone batting their eyes when they something in their eyes
