Why would a guy compliment you, flirt and pay you lots of attention but not ask you out?

So a guy says hello gorgeous, makes convo with me, smiles and giggles, tells me he couldn't helo stare at me. Asks me how I am, whether I go college or work.

Calls me babe and princess sometimes. Yeah I know those pet names don't mean much. He makes a big deal out of when he sees me. Like standing back from counter and then saying hello gorgeous. Today he was singing hey, then kind of got hold of my hand whilst taking the money as I was paying for something. Then he giggled and smiled nervously. Was that an attempt to feel closer to me?

He seems quite confident but gets loud when I'm around. I see other girls in shop and he doesn't seem like that with them. I don't know for sure though don't see him 24/7, but I do get the feeling there's something there. Whenever I see him he finds ways to interact even when there isn't really a reason to talk. As I'm a customer in his shop.

I think he flirts with you because he likes what he sees and he probably thinks your cute and hot.I think it may take some time for him to ask you out if he is really interested.Guys move slow sometimes with intiating with girls.But he does seem to be into you and like to flirt with you.
