Why do guys never ask me out but always stare and compliment me?

I never go on dates. An guys. i see around are always like hey beautiful and giving me cute names. Admiring from afar or smiling at me. Never approached though. Only ones who do are either old enough to be my dad or tramps lol.

The guys I would date, never come. my way. Guys just flirt and. not. ask me. out Do not know why. I am a reserved girl and not the slutty type.

Could be the body language itself, I mean, you strike me as someone who looks great and last I checked, you're very kind when you write. What I mean by body language is where your eyes wander, how you smile, what your hands do, how your feet are laid out, do you keep your back straight? Do you talk too quickly or too slowly, too hard or too soft? Do you mean what you say, or you say what you can't mean?

I'm saying this stuff because for example, if you're talking to a guy, you like him - he likes you too, but you're so absorbed into the conversation that you're talking too fast, maybe not giving him a chance. The next time he thinks of you, he might say: well, you're too intense and I need a moment's rest. It doesn't make you a bad person, not even close, it's just that people can't say what they think most of the time, so it just puzzles you.

Lonelylady93, if you look at moves, videos, people out in public squares, just look what their bodies are doing, seriously. Some people are bad examples, some are amazing. I mean, imagine if you met a 7 foot tall man who seems intimidating, but you felt reassured as he's soft spoken, his hands move in such a nice manner, he's eloquent, sensitive, wouldn't that comfort you the next time you see him even as he does not speak a single word?

Okay, there's no doubt about that. But perhaps too gentle? Like it's a harmony between intense and gentleness, I know that because it might seem like you're disinterested, not uninterested. Might throw off a lot of dudes.

Without knowing you, I couldn't say. Perhaps they feel you aren't approachable to them. Either in the way you present yourself or thinking you are too attractive to be single.
Just be yourself, smile and be friendly. Let you shine through and that guy will come along. You could always approach a guy you are interested in, I believe most men don't mind that at all.

this is a common case. a bitchy resting face is usually the culprit. "face" is a misnomer - it's usually a matter of the whole body language and image / attitude projected. not approachable.

also, a girl I know complained about the same thing even though she was asked out all the time - but by the guys who she did not find were her level. so in HER MIND those guys didn't count and so she was "never asked out".

You said you're reserved. They may secretly think you might be stuck up, too complicated, wouldn't put out, etc. Men fear rejection and your reserved personslity may give off the vibe that you're type that rejects men. Maybe consider getting a bit out of your comfort zone.
