Why do men always stare or compliment but won’t say anything or ask me out?

I get told I’m beautiful or pretty by a lot of men and women. Sometimes they just stare at me, but won’t say anything at all. I’m a nice person. I speak to everyone and I treat people with respect so I know I’m not unapproachable, but yet here I am single and lonely. No one ever asks me out. I’m 45 and getting sick of being alone all the damn time.

Men in general are just not asking women out much anymore.. Maybe putting yourself in settings where you can be asked out would do wonders..
