www.girlsaskguys.com/.../a28017-stop-skinny-shaming-i-m-thin-beautiful-that-s-okay
Smh see it's people like her that I hate.
Lmao it's people like her that bring me back to this site
I guess if you're one for drama. Personally I'm not, but that's okay.
Well good luck with your skinni-ness, sorry it worked out for you that way
I get your pain, not personay but from my boyfriend. His metabolosm is waaayy too fast and he can't get any higher than 135 and he's 6'2. No matter what he eats or howuch, he doesn't gain weight and is super self conscious about it. I feel so bad :/ Hopefully there's something for you guys to help thats healthy :(
I'm not sure how old you are but you are under 18 which means it will probably change. My friend was skinny all her life but once she hit 17 she started gaining weight, but lucky for her she can work out for just 3 weeks and be perfectly skinny and toned again.
Being skinny is much better than being fat. I wish I were 40 pounds lighter. The clothes thing isn't true, because there are more cute clothes available for skinny people than there are overweight people. Most clothes just don't look good on me, and I'm only 140-150 pounds. I enjoy having clothes that are too big on me, so can we switch places? I want your body.
Great post - I often think of the remark "We come in all shapes and sizes" plus there is probably a significant proportion of people who would find it hard to change weight up or down - Sometimes I think it is good to be the average range for simple things like availability of clothes etc once anybody becomes "Too Anything", they seem to run into difficulty - Last thought I wish people would be more careful about what they say to other people or how they phrase things, words can hurt.
If you remain skinny, its in your genes. You may have a high metabolism so you burn a lot and combined with a tiny bone structure, you may look very skinny. A high metabolism may be caused by the thyroid. You can have that checked. Another way is building muscle mass. You need to train with weigths and eat enough proteins in small portions (roughly 5x/day). And see that you have enough carbs that cover your daily need. Don't expect miracles, but it will help for sure if you give it time.
Are you sure about the lack of clothing? I always find loads of XS in the clearance rack and wonder how easy extra small girls have it. Maybe that doesn't fit you but I imagine the people who it does fit have it super easy. I'm not as small as you but I still get the "gain weight, you look like a stick". I bet it's much worse for you, good take.
Thank you for making this Take... I also like to point out that even if you are skinny, you can still have insecurities.
Yeah. Your welcome, and I know lol.
I understand how you feel. At one point in my life I weight so much that i couldn't stand myself. I went through a severe bought of depression and lost so much weight that I was unhealthy (6'9" 195lbs). I now weight 230lbs and am at a good place in my life. I still don't have anyone to share it with, but that is not a major concern anymore. I focus on just taking care of me.
Just curious about that of you being so thin, have you actually had a type 1 diabetes test to make sure just to rule that out as problem as i had a friend who could never put on weight at all until she got diagnosed for type 1 diabetes and ate all sorts of high carb foods and such
Really this is all bullshit. It's just a way for people praise you. Who honestly haite being skinny? I would kill just for be a 0 size I starve myself so much, was near to be annorexic and everytime people say I'm skinny and tell me how petite I am I was really happy. Now I gain weight and it upset me that girls like you said it's a pain in the ass to be skinny, really.
No it's not bullshit, and you think being called a skeleton is "praising" ? Get REAL SMH.
I feel your pain. I am a size 2 and I always have a lot of people commenting on it. Beef up, askin if am anorexic and just being blatantly rude. I still pine about gaining weight and being fat and my peeps are like becareful what you wish for.
Read all the way through and still wanna be super skinny. I'd rather face all those issues than feel like I wanna throw up whenever I look in the mirror. The way I see it, as long as you're still healthy, there's nothing wrong with being skinny.
No you're absolutely right there's nothing wrong with being skinny. But do not toy with your health just to be skinny!
As long as a girl is healthy, I really don't care if she's "big" or not.
The most important thing to me is that she at least truly ATTEMPTS to take care of herself. The effort means more to me than anything.
Yeah some people are just born to be skinny some people get old or get pregnant and gain weight. When you have kids it will all change so embrace the skinny now.
"Beef up" -_- Most people forget that, most times, it's way harder to gain weight than it is to lose it
Preach!
Fellow skinny girl here, sometimes skinny shaming really hurts.
Im like you but i get the same you are skinny shit. But most of the time i get more compliments so it depends what u wear as well. And people know i never say no to food. I think people say hurtful things without analysimg the situation. My consolation for not gaining weight is when im like 24 I'll start gain adult weight.
nice Take
One of my relatives is 35 and very skinny and petite which kinda made her look like a teen and it sucked for her in terms of dating because some dudes would think she's jail bait lol
It's a good thing to try to improve yourself, out of love and respect for your body. If you feel insecure, you have to fight that feeling as well.
