I need to get a tan. I'm so white I'm almost see through. In ultraviolet light I can see my shinbone. In the shower I can see my liver. A trembling and jaundiced specimen.

Although, people have preferences, healthy skin is attractive regardless of your complexion provide it has some coloring and only a very tiny minority of people have albinism.

Depends on what country you're in... in asia being very pale is the beauty trend for example

As a Californian that has seen his fair share of the sun (and hates summer and the heat) I much prefer a pale woman over a tan woman. Scottish ginger women have my heart.

Both tan and pale are attractive, but each person gets their preference.
There's probably a baseline preference and I'm going to assume it's tanned because it's probably the "normal".

It's not a matter of being "unattractive." It's a matter of what is and isn't attractive to ME.

And by the way, Salma Hayek is not tan. She's Mexican with naturally brown skin. Those are two different things.

She is tanned. People get “fake tan” to try to get TANNED SKIN. She has naturally tanned skin.

A tan is not natural. I think it makes women unattractive. Their skin color doesn't look natural or fit the rest of their features. People with naturally brown skin have skin that matches their features. That doesn't mean they are attractive or unattractive, it just means that your natural skin color fits the rest of your features and when you change it, it doesn't look natural.

Here in the Netherlands Tans are appreciated but pale skin too. We don't get a lot of vitamine D here

You can't say pale skin IS ugly. You can say in your opinion it is ugly.

The same as you can't say a certain race IS ugly... only not appealing to you.
