I got a stress related indury where my stress regulation system doesn't work. So i am a very extreme case, but none of these work for me as a result. Literally all of these consume energy in my case but many of these are actually not relaxing which is a gigantic misconception i have learned most people hold.

So ill give a bit of a list of what to expect :
    1. Doesn't destress at all, in fact it creates stress hormones in the body. But at the same time this does help clear stress leftovers. Its better to do this after you relaxed a little bit rather then jumping from something stressful to something intense. It may help put your mind at ease but its not actually destressing.
    2. Rests your body but not your mind, if the stress is mostly mental then this will not work for you.
    3. Laughing can work, but the medium that makes you laugh can also be causing you stress since your focused on something.
    4. This one again is not a good destressor especially for introvert, but it can be a fun distraction if your nervous and need to put your mind off things.
    5. Typically works well for many people, but will activate your mind so your mind will not come at rest if you do it to intense.
    6. No idea, not a girl.
    7. Unless you don't physically relax from sitting down this is probably a good method to relax.
    8. This one works really well even for me in my current state.
    9. Music is not a good idea if your mind is bloated, it will make the problem worse.
    10. Desert can help a little since your digesting energetic foods but won't really do to much.
    11. Can't judge this one.
    12. Walking can be nice to put your minds off things and process some stress hormones but it will also activate your stress system. Its all about balance on this one.
    13. This will be quite stimulating for your mind, may help may make it worse depending who you are.

The problem is a larger issue where people do not fully grasp stress and what it is, they don't understand it doesn't work if your body isn't physically relaxing. In the worst case you end up like me where you never physically destress and only seek mental fun because its "Relaxing" and you eventually collapse.

  • It's nothing but temporal relief that doesn't last.

When a person is in agony of some sort be either anxiety, fear, health problems etc your tips only offer a short timed relief.

Nice! I do all that already except I record my thoughts on my phone or tablet instead of writing them down. Plus, I add more prayers to the Lord, our God.
