Stress has turned itself into massive monster these days causing people to absorb negative thoughts and feel unhappy most of the time. Stress can be caused due to several reasons like piling up work, having too many problems etc. and may lead to severe problems. Fidget spinner won't help much so, these are some ways to relieve stress in your day to day life.
Listen to relaxing music
Okay, I like rock too, but if you want to relieve this thing you must listen to relaxing music. Yo Yo Ma's music is a great example, or maybe Beethoven or Mozart as you prefer. Classical music can relax your mind, can lower blood pressure, and reduce cortisol which is a hormone linked to stress. Baroque music is a good type of relaxing music and is said to have the ability of improving your educational skills too. If you don't like Beethoven or Yo Yo Ma then listen to nature sounds like sea, wind, rain etc.
Change your wallpaper
If you're gazing at the computer screen all day, then change the screen wallpaper or the browser background to a nature background. There's no force that it must be a nature wallpaper, if you like any other place it's alright. But, if you use a live wallpaper of the sea or rain, you'll find it relaxing.
Close your eyes... Imagine... Breath...
Close your eyes for a while and start imagining somewhere you would like to be, it can be any place you like maybe even your bedroom. While living in that imagination, breathe deep to fill your lungs.
Now you're inside your imaginative world. Let's assume you imagine you're on the top of a windy mountain all alone, nice, now yell aloud inside your head. You cannot yell or scream inside your office or school, so yell inside that imagination.
Laughter releases endorphins that improve mood and decrease levels of the stress-causing hormones cortisol and adrenaline. Laughing tricks your nervous system into making you happy.
Watch some funny videos, go through some funny memes, or even watch some politicians talk, nowadays some politicians are very funny.
Loss of sleep can cause you stress and stress can cause you lose of sleep, that's a cycle. Make sure you sleep 7-8 hours or at least 6 hours everyday. Prepare your room with suiting temperature levels, dim lights and a comfy bed to make yourself sleep well.
Drink green tea
Instead of drinking Red Bull or any other energy drinks, sip some green tea. Chocolate, coffee contains high amount of caffeine which will not help you. Green tea may help you get rid of stress since it has less than half the caffeine of coffee and contains healthy antioxidants, as well as theanine, an amino acid that has a calming effect on the nervous system.
Keep a fish tank
You may know that watching the fish move can help heart patients. Our computer science teacher once told us that we need to take our eyes away from the screen every twenty minutes to minimize sight problems and stress. As a solution she told us that it's better if we can keep a fish tank nearby or watch people move in the street. Seriously, after working for long periods of time it's very relieving to watch the fish swim here and there inside the tank. If you've got a dog or a cat, spend some time with it.
Talk to a friend/yourself
Call your friend, talk with him/her for a while and tell your problems how you feel. When things get filled up in your head, the best thing is to talk with someone. If you've got a bestfriend or a girlfriend/boyfriend, they can be very helpful.
If you don't have a friend or a partner, never mind, talk to yourself. Pens down, take a deep breath and talk to yourself. Sometimes there maybe things that you don't want to tell anyone.
Doodle / Write what's in your mind
Once a friend told me to scribble on the back of my notebook to relieve stress. Since I don't like scribbling I started doodling on the last page, yes it calms you down. I do doodling art while doing homework and you can find tiny fantastic figures in my notebooks and among papers with rough work.
But if your mind is too heavy, write what's in your mind on a diary, paper or anything else. If you've got too many work to do, take a paper or click on a mobile app and make a list of things you ought to do. As you complete a task, cut it off and you'll calm down and will feel better as you cut off them one by one.
I hope this will help you, if you know any other ways which you find relieving leave a comment.
