Irregular period, how can make it regular?

I'm soon 18 and I've had irregular periods ever since I started five years ago. Someone told me about going on birth control pills and that they can sometimes regulate it... Are there any other ways? and what are the factors that can affect my the regularity?

Consult your doctor. My wife is on bc pills and takes them non-stop. She only has her period about 3 times a year. She has been doing this for over 10 years, no problems.

they can get more regular with time itself but you can also consult a gynaecologist for it

My sister was put on birth control at 15 to regulate her period cuz she only got it like twice a year. I've not heard if natural ways do regulate it though :-/

You can do the basic things of making sure you're on a good diet, low stress, getting plenty of exercise. That's really the only thing you could do to help yourself.
