I've had consistently irregular periods since I started. Just today it popped up to surprise me! Birth control pills are supposed to help regulate them, but if you're worried about potentially not getting pregnant, pumping your body full of hormones to suppress your ovulation probably isn't the best idea... If you're getting irregularly frequent periods (as in more than one a month) then maybe you should see your GP, but I wouldn't worry too much -you've got years to set into a regular cycle.

Sometimes, but more than likely no, especially when you're young and haven't had your period for years.
Stress can do it to. There's loads of reasons it could happen, but if something worries you, you could always go to your sexual health center or gp/nurse.
Usually if you have your period, you have ovulated and there are eggs floating around in there. Doesn't have to be on any particular schedule. I would assume that pregnancy is possible. One of my ex Gfs doctors told her that because of a menstrual issue that she couldn't get pregnant. So we had unprotected sex. Twice she got pregnant. Anything is possible.
"Irregular period " is NOT the same as NO ovulation. It means ovulation at irregular moments. It happens to ca 70% of all fertile women at times. If you have unprotected sex within 2 or 3 days from that unexpected ovulation, you can get pregnant.

Irregular periods are mostly normal I have an irregular period ever since I had one and the only thing that regulated it is birth control. I would talk to a doctor and get checked out you could have an ovarian cysts or an underlying uterus condition if you have more than one period a month.
If you have irregular periods, you should see a gynecologist and get birth control pills to regulate it.
Now if there's a way to regulate it without ceasing the capability for pregnancy, yeah ask the gynecologist.the possibility is there but not sure... just make sure you consult your doctor
