I’ve always been a skinny girl. I’ve had points in my life where I gained weight but I always lost it pretty fast as I have a high metabolism. Well a few months ago I had sex after 5 years of celibacy and have continued to have sex with this man for 4 months. Immediately after sleeping with him I noticed that I started to gradually gain weight. But my period kept coming. About a month ago I took a pregnancy test which came back negative. I assumed I wasn’t pregnant. My appetite did increase however I genuinely don’t feel I have been eating enough to gain weight so rapidly. The other day I also got up in the middle of the night and threw up for some unknown reason. A few days later I felt myself getting gagging at the cheese on my tater tots-something unusual for me because I have never been a picky eater. If there wasn’t anything wrong with my food to disgust me I usually wouldn’t gag over it but I just couldn’t keep from gagging and I had to spit it out because I thought I would puke even though it tasted good. Today I looked at my stomach after my family commented on my weight and I look pregnant. Like my stomach is poking out a lot. I have never been this big in my life. I work every day and move around enough that even if I did eat a little more than usual I shouldn’t be this big. I tried to get another test but all the stores are closed. The thing is I have been having my periods every month. I genuinely didn’t feel like it was possible for me to pregnant but now I’m concerned. I’m going to get a test first thing in the morning. But I’m curious if anybody had ever been pregnant but still had periods every month?

It’s literally impossible to continue getting regular periods if you’re pregnant. If you’re concerned, go see a sexual health doctor and discuss your symptoms with them. They can give you a free pregnancy test in the appointment to confirm that you’re not pregnant, and then they can talk with you about what else could potentially be causing your symptoms. Weight gain doesn’t only come from diet or pregnancy. It can sometimes be genetic or happen once you hit a certain age and your metabolism slows down. As for the nausea, that could be caused by anything.

It is possible to continue bleeding while pregnant so definitely take a test
I mean I’m not an expert of course cause I don’t get a period nor can I get pregnant lol
but I’ve heard that it’s possible to get your first couple periods while pregnant. But I’m not sure if it’s possible to get your period continuously through out the pregnancy.
I would go to a doctor cause it could be something else causing these issues
If you are pregnant it is unlikely that you can get your period. Like 1 in a million women will experience that. Your body is designed to stop ovulating during pregnancy.
