UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier squared off today for a photo opportunity to promote their UFC 178 title bout, but instead they started to fight at the conferance room.

It made me think these kind of fights only to get media's attention to the game. Am I right, is it normal?

Yes, it's all fake. I was offered a thousand bucks to fight in an MMA match. They have a rehearsal beforehand, and they basically choreograph the fights just like wrestling. If you really took real martial artists, and had them fight tooth and nail, you'd end up with someone in the hospital, regardless of rules. A good martial artist can punch you in the chest and kill you, with gloves on.

This is all to get media attention. All publicity stunts. Few days later you will see the video where these both are dining together. they make public fool and get attention.
