Still having chest discomfort?

I'm still having chest discomfort after my chest xray and lung/breathing visit checked out OK. could this be a skeletal/muscular problem and if so should I get it checked out, also the discomfort isn't as frequent but it does occur on both sides

X-Ray is a sensitive imaging method for some conditions, but not for others, such as computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging. Thus, it's hypothetically possible that the X-Ray missed something, but I can only speculate from here. If you exercise regularly, it may be costochondritis or a pulled muscle. Since the pain seems to be gradually lessening in frequency and pain level with no mention of other similar incidents without explanation, it's not likely to be anything serious that needs immediate medical attention. If you feel worse after several days or other symptoms develop, then I would recommend going to the nearest hospital emergency room right away.
