Okay LISTEN, you are depressed, but it is not the end of the world. After all it is just a feeing.
I am also a college student who suffered depression because after my HS and a full semster of great academics, AND a chance of getting $25k scholarship, all of that faded because my school failed to mention that I missed to take 1 stupid simple course.
HOW TO STOP BEING DEPRESSED:
-All you have to do is just try to do something new. Ex. Sleep a lot? Well try to wake up early. You will still be sleepy so try to take a cold shower or mix hot with cold and after a moment lower the hot water (It worked for me).
-If you sit at home most of times, try to read a novel, it will absolutely distract you from depressing thought (negative thoughts), and keeps you focused on the story.
-Basically change your daily habits, no matter how small it is, it will have a major impact on your life style.
if that doesn't work, well... tell your parents that you need to see a therapist.
COLLEGE:
-A lot of parents can't afford to pay for their kids' college fund, HELL, even if they afford it, they don't want to pay for it, because they want their kids to be independent.
-If you can't afford it, DON'T WORRY, it is not the end of the world, college will help you. Ask them if they FASFA (Financial Aid). If they dont have an office for it, try to ask those offices who do studant loans or where pay for tuition (Dont ever think of getting the loan, it will be a nightmare when you try pay them back no matter how bad they try to persuade you)... matterfact, you said you have better grades, so you should get a scholarship.
At the end, that's all in to it. Take care of your depression first because it will affect your social life, and also your grades.

Trust me few months ago I was almost doing the same , and condition started to go worse and worse and now I am stuck , I will suggest you to meet old friends , be single you do not need boyfriend. Give time to your hobby , a good change in routine - like sleep withing 2-3hrs of sunset and then wake up after 7-8hrs and when its dark sky before dawn , get fresh , at early dawn carry a defence weapon for safety and they go for a walk or jogging. Do not jog much check you pulse it must not more then 7times in every 5sec. Avoids T. V and use laptop and other devices only if necessary. Get away from cell phone.
I did almost same I started exercising from 5:00am to 6:00am on roof , no jogging track around so I just go one step forward and back on stairs. Some push ups and streaching and some warm up crunches. having rock music with headphones in your ears can help a lot.
That's sad :( I can't go to college because my grades aren't good enough and I'm not good at anything. My fathers job made us move 4 countries and I've been through 9 schools. Didn't have a proper high school education and passed my exams just for sake of passing. Now we are moving to Canada and I have no idea what I will do there. I can't have friends because wherever I go we move withing two-three years. So people don't like associating with me. Don't take what you have for granted. I wish my problem was not being able to go to college for money! At least I knew it was only money. Can you try student loans? What do you wanna study?
Sounds like you are. Anything traumatic or bad happen recently. I was exactly the same way when my grandpa passed away. He committed suicide because he had cancer. So that really took a toll on me. I didn't shower or come out of my room for days. Only to have dinner or drink water. Or have you always been someone who has kept to themselves?

Sounds to me you're a lazy genius. Dont ever change to fit in. You have your own unique way. Im the same as you are in your deacriptions atleast, but yeah. Id say so, in a way atleast. I tend to just stay at home. Dont answer calls, just feel all dumptrucks. But i consider myself smart and at the same time dumb. I dont know. Others see me as atteactive, smart and talented, but i fail to see it in myself. Now i spend my days proving to myself that what they say is true. Brcause I've read that accepting and loving yourself first will be the key to unlocking your true self and your own happiness and normallity.
With all this blabber, all im saying is even if you feel you're different, depressed, and down, dont give up. Keep looking forward. There is more to life. you'll find a way. I know it.Yes it sounds like you could have a (mild?) depression. It would be good to get some help, sometimes even seeing a professional for a few times can make a big change in how you feel! I was a bit like this a few years ago, and first was hesitant to seek help, but afterwards I realized I should have talked to a psychologist a lot earlier because it made my life so much easier. Going through that as well minus the bathing thing but I feel ugly a lot and kind of isolate myself lately. I would consider seeing a doctor and maybe getting on some SSRIsyes, sound like a mild depression, I would recommend to get some help.
