Strep Throat or Sinus Infection?

I'm having trouble figuring out if this is strep throat or a sinus infection, as I know both have similar symptoms. I don't want to take an unnecessary trip to the hospital.

As far as I know, I have white on my uvula and tonisls, growing discomfort in swallowing, I haven't had a fever recently, no body aches, and haven't sneezed or coughed. My throat feels like a fire is trying start.

The white in your throat are tonsil stones. Remove them with a small sterile metal tool, such as tweezers or dental picks (I've got a kit from Wal-Mart for about 10 bucks). Dont poke yourself.

It sounds like strep. You can wait for it to naturally go away in a month or opt for medication.

Gargle with salt water before you try to remove the tonsil stones. Drink plenty of water to keep it clear back there.

It is hard to tell. Not all Strep throats have "throat pain" so to speak. The only sure way is to get a quick test at the doctors.

Its a strep throat cuz I get sinus infections all the time and u don't get a white tounge and tonsils and if ur thought feels like its on fire than ya its a strep throat cuz sinus infection ur nose is all stuffed up and u can't breath and u can hear it in ur voice if its sinus

Sounds more like strep throat but either way, you should definitely go to the doctor to find out for sure. You'll need medication if it really is strep.
