Why do you drink it?
www.collective-evolution.com/.../
I also recommend taking a look at some other universities that have similar findings recently.
this is bs to say milk is absolutely unhealthy. cow milk has many benefits for the body it's fat burning, it builds muscles, is a very good source for protein and calcium.
the problem with it is that milk now is a processed food. It is not the milk itself but the hormones that they inject to the cow and the process after that that may change and make it maybe unhealthy. I didn't read the studies directly but I heard about it some times ago. It is not needed. I usually don't eat processed food myself. I eat as natural as I can, so I do not have a problem personally.
the point of the studies wasn't to point out that milk is unhealthy but that the body does not necessarily need it to remain healthy, assuming that you eat other products and absorb the nutritions that are needed.
Humans drank milk from the dawn of history. Milk was not one of the drinks in humans diet but one of the most important ones through years. Milk and the other products of it and almost anywhere in the world. If natural cow milk, the cows that are not injected by hormones, wanted to be that unhealthy the human races would be always unnaturally unhealthy.
today's weakness is for consuming many other processed products as well as having less activity and drinking and eating less natural products. the problem now isn't milk. even the processed milk has many benefits besides its harms. But there are many other products that is being overused now and they are the main cause of the problem in human diet nowadays.
I would like to know how many of the people who don't drink milk after these studies continue to eat meat and drink alcohol and soda everyday.
Mench...
hah I should send you my instagram and you tell me if performance like that can be maintained on fucking meat and soda Lmao.
yeah i don't believe bs like that, if you wanna be short and have weak bones then go ahead, giving birth reduces the mothers bone density and will increase the effects of osteoporosis, if you think taking calcium tablets is the better way to go then let me ask you what its made of? calcium carbonate or calcium nitrate, both do not digest in your body and are either expelled or build up in the bottom of your stomach (will require surgery to remove if it reaches a critical point), the only forms of calcium that can be digested by the body is calcium phosphate and calcium lactate, calcium phosphate is found in cows milk and other dairy products, while calcium lactate is found primary in aged cheese and is a byproduct of dairy products, both require digestive assistance from lactic acid to absorb the calcium and allow it to be used as bio-material, substitutes such as sucrose, dextrose and glucose can help digest it but are no where near as effective
if you don't believe me then fine whatever, i'm just saying what i know from avid experience as an assistant of one of the best dental implantologist surgeons in asia, but if you really believe those retards in WHO then go ahead, they claim toothpaste is good for you when it is filled to the brim with sugar, claim that titanium oxide (ingredient in whitening tooth paste) is good for you when it actually dries your teeth to the core and bullshit people into thinking that pills and drugs are better than the natural stuff so they can make a profit alongside the pharmaceutical companies, if you believe them god help you, the WHO, USDH and ADA are a freakin joke.
So let me get this straight... You are claiming that calcium from COWS milk makes a humans bones stronger. I can show the science to negate this where the fuck is yours to prove it because the dairy industry would LOVE it. Harvard JUST did research on this that proves you wrong too. But hey what does anyone know that actually tries to understand why HUMANS drink a fucking COWS milk.
because you, harvard and all those stupid assholes are a bunch of idiots thats why, how is cows milk any different from breast milk? other than the fat content and lactic acid content? you mean to tell me milk is bad but its an absolute demand for babies? and there is no other substitute unless you make every woman on the planet a cow and milk them (which i will kill you for personally if you do), drugs are very poor substitute and other types of milk are neither as abundant nor as effective, if you want yourself and everyone in the next generation to be a fuckin midget then go right ahead and spread your bullshit, because the tallest people in the world the europeans have been drinking milk for 2500 YEARS and they're much taller, stronger and tougher than you'll EVER be.
"how is cows milk any different from breast milk"
Okay the idiot has exposed themselves. Conversation over.
@theperfectdater... bringing the gutter scum together
yes well, i know a lot more than you and watched as 50 - 70 year old patients regenerate extremely brittle, weak and hollow jaw bone from our bone regeneration treatments alongside milk consumption, i literally witnessed it firsthand that it works and have 2500 years of evidence to back me up, so yeah im a shrew, but your a retard. >_>
(and normally it takes a lot to piss me off, but your crap just did, congratulations. *glados voice*), now i have to go to class, since you made me 10 minutes late i'll prepare more FACTS for you to suffer with when i come back.
Funny are you a licensed doctor? Because they agree with me too.
no im not a doctor, but i was an assistant of one of the best dental implantologist surgeons in asia that has been in the industry for over 40 years and has the highest honors in the medical field of dentistry and implantology and has the highest successful implants count in the world (3800+, the next highest is just over 600), i may not be a dentist but i know far more than you ever could.
doctors all around the world say all kinds of stuff to make money, they've done it for ages and work as a united community to improve the need for doctors even if it means destroying the people they help, in the 50's dentists used to give candy to children to calm them down, but in reality they want their teeth to rot so they get more business, its the same with every other doctor, they will do anything and say anything to promote the necessity for doctors in the current world.
Hmmmm. Well breast milk has been proven to have tons of nutrients. I don't drink breast milk, but of course as kids a lot of people have. I did used to drink artificial milk that was like breast milk. It was for working out.
Other than that I do drink milk to eat with cereal, but I don't eat cereal all the time. I don't know if milk is healthy for me or not. Even if it's naturally healthy with the shit they put in it now I'm guessing it's not healthy anymore. I have to have the lactose 100% intolerant or w/e kind.
Breast milk is natural for a human to drink for a certain period of time (earliest development) Cows milk is NEVER good for humans to drink. It reeks havoc on the body. Human bodies are alkaline. Cows milk is extremely acidic. In short it causes osteoporosis. So, effectively weakening your bones instead of "making them stronger" Yeah... that's called clever dairy industry marketing. No research on the planet to back that up.
Alright. Again with the shit they put in it that doesn't even matter. It would be unhealthy regardless.
Regardless of added hormones and chemicals, milk would still be bad for you. https://saveourbones.com/osteoporosis-milk-myth/
True
I switched to coconut milk a few years ago. I never liked the taste of milk to begin with, then I heard coconut milk was suppose to be really good for you. I recently heard something about milk not being good for you, but I haven't bothered checking up on it since I don't drink the stuff anymore.
Check it out more. It's very bad for our bodies.
Opinion

i can't post anything now that i read the comments bahahaa xD
hahahaha
I don't use dairy products anymore. I used to sometimes and then I always opted for organic. I'm a vegan nowadays since even organic farmers kill of male chicks as they are deemed useless. A living being is considered useless if we can't gain something from it, yuck!
Organic means:
- Weaning of animals shall enable the natural process of animal rearing to occur, including progeny
having access to colostrums or first milk where relevant. Calves 3 months, Lambs 9 weeks and Piglets 6 weeks
- No pesticides, chemical fertilizers or genetically modified plants are used. This means our cows feed on a diverse mix of herbs and grasses that grow naturally, free from any chemical contamination
- Milking cows are not treated with antibiotics or hormones. When they do become sick, they are treated with natural medicines.
- Organic systems place strong emphasis on environmental protection and sustainability. Organic farmers are particularly concerned about the long term health of the land rather than short term gain.
Milk is only essential for the first 5 years of your life.
I used to drink it because it was delicious!! no other reason cause I didn't know anything about health when I used to drink it.
I don't drink it anymore because I was always sick, and well, discovered I'm lactose intolerant :[!
I miss it.. and every now and then when i drink it, I swear it doesn't even taste as good as I remember.
All this crap they feed us on tv and so-called doctors, that you NEED milk, is simply bs. It probably does more bad than good. Especially Cow milk. (not yummy anymore)
I drink almond milk with water and ice! :]!
Haven't drank any milk since I found out about all that shit. Milk is absolutely disgusting, I have no idea how people even still drink it. They have to bleach milk to make it white because in its natural state its a pinkish-yellowish colour because of the blood, pus, and bacteria. They just leave it as is for chocolate milk though, that why you notice a reddish colour in certain brands of chocolate milk. Ew I can't even.
https://saveourbones.com/osteoporosis-milk-myth/
Food/dairy industry is oohhhh so powerful
It's a good source of Calcium, fights against plaque formation on teeth, it's used it many products and it tastes good (to me).
How is it bad for the body? Obviously anything you eat/drink can be harmful to the body if you go over the required amount.
And a lot of things you buy are clever marketing. What do you want.. for us to starve?
This is a ridiculous question. Get your facts right before you start claiming Milk is bad for your health.
Milk is actually linked to osteoporosis. Keep in mind milk was designed for baby calves, not humans. It contains calcium, but because the milk is so acidic, the body has to counteract this somehow and the only thing that neutralizes acid is actually the calcium in our bones. So when we drink milk, we actually leech the milk from our bones and then we lose that calcium via the urinary tract. So not only do you lose the calcium you had, but you never even absorb the calcium that you ingested through milk.
Maybe you should do some research and get your facts straight...
You know nothing of the body and are regurgitation dairy industry marketing without even knowing it. Our bodies are alkaline and milk is very acidic. The acid goes into our blood stream and our bodies must counteract this. They do so by secreting calcium from the bones into the blood to bring us back to alkaline... Dude wake up and do some research. Then ask you doc and be fucking surprised how an industry shapes the truth.
I thought it was ridiculous too. Here's a newly released study:
www.collective-evolution.com/.../
Oh, I've only just seen about it now. This is new research though, not completely set in stone. It hasn't even lasted a good few months on the internet. There's always something bad to say about the products we consume. I'm hardly going to chuck the litre of milk I have in my fridge down the sink for this as it's not completely concrete, there's still tests going on for this.
Yeah... incorrect. There are a number of universities that have done studies that have show the same over a 12 year span. Some are even doing prolong human testing right now...
Only just saw the link from FatherKnowsBest too, apparently it's bad for a lot of things. See, this is all new to me as this is just recent news. I'm sure a lot of people didn't know about this and would have responded the same way I did.
It's up to the people to inform themselves. The industry that coined "milk does a body good" is too large to just disappear.
The study may have been conducted over a 12 year period but it was never released publicly that milk was bad 12 years ago. This is all newly released.
"released to the public"
This has been common knowledge with most holistic practitioners for hundreds of years...
Practitioners maybe, I'm talking about society as a whole. I was always informed by the Doc/my teachers that milk was a good source of calcium. And, to be honest, I don't really care for this discussion. There's always a bad thing to say about most things that enter the body and sure it's up to us to change our diet but there's more problems in the world than a glass of milk. You can stop bothering me with comments now. I'm aware of this new study, it's my choice to change up what enters my body and there's other things to be concerned about than this.
Relax no one is trying to create cognitive dissonance for you ass over there Lol...
Do what you want but know that me speaking on this is not from one or two new studies. I am a holistically healthy person that was once NOT. I understand the human body and how what we consume interacts with it.
Doctors prescribe medicine that knowingly causes thoughts of suicide at the off chance it could help you with you gloomy days... this is the no spin zone bub
I've been eating cereal since middle school if not earlier. That means I've been using milk since then. I also eat some yogurt which includes milk. I'm totally fine at 24. Plus, I don't believe all the things these researchers find. Some are just too hard to believe or don't make sense. Plus, they don't always say who it's bad for. They say pizza is bad. For everyone? Pizza is bread and cheese. It can only be bad for obese and overweight people. It's fine for others. But the researchers don't mention that. They make it seem like it's bad for everyone. Same with ice cream and a bunch of other things. You shouldn't believe everything you hear or read. Do your own research.
I drink milk. And quite frankly, I'm perfectly happy drinking milk over alcohol, for example. Somehow, I doubt that milk is more harmful than alcohol.
How do you know this? Have you studied the effects on your body?
no doubt
You dad has been taking L's since 87'
Yeah but the dairy industry is one horrific industry with a lot of suffering. So drinking non-organic milk and other dairy products is harmful to other living beings ;)
People make excuses to continue their lack of responsibility for their consuming behaviour and the effect it has on the world. Not just on animal welfare but nature as well. So we can make a choise, be aware and make changes or keep closing our eyes because we don't want to give up on certain pleasures.
I drink it because I like it. I eat a lot of junk food as well which is also bad for me, but I like it. It's that simple; y'know because I'm not really aiming to live a monumentally long life (that's not me saying I'm depressed or whatever don't worry; I just mean if I live a moderately long life, which plenty of people who drink milk and eat junkfood and smoke and drink alcohol etc. do; then I'll be happy with that, I'm not aiming to be a centenarian particularly) , I'm aiming more to be happy, so I drink milk because I enjoy it, regardless of the fact it's probably not the #1 best thing for my health
Understood. Remember, you must choose life or death. You can not fall in the middle somewhere. Body is the temple.
I choose to live life fairly hedonistically and probably die a little younger as a result?
I said the same thing once. Then something happened... Don't do that is all I can say. This is a test.
What is a test? Life in general? Cause that's cool if you believe that but I'm very Atheistic so I don't really believe in anything like that..
Naturally
Well I knew that at first human beings could NOT consume any milk besides our own mother's breast milk and have developed a toleration for animal milk. I'm not a huge fan of straight up milk but I love cheese I'm not going to lie. :O In the end people will consume it anyway, lots of things aren't good for us and WE ALL do something that isn't good but do it regardless. Pick your poison really...
'toleration' interesting word choice. If someone said that their relationship status with a guy was tolerable... I hope you are getting were im going with that. Toleration does not equate health :) But sure true what you said
Yeah... Fact is that human bodies are alkaline and cows milk is very acidic. Not good for the human body at all and causes many health problems number one being bone weakness and degeneration
I drink milk, not the store bought crap but rather raw milk straight from the cow. As for it being bad for the human body, I've been drinking milk since I was about 5 months old, still as healthy as a horse! Don't believe everything you read online...
You sound like a troll.
Lol, I'm 100% legit. Born and raised on the family dairy farm.
You ain't shit
Believe whatever you want
I couldn't care less what is in my milk. And don't go off on me about how it wreaks havoc on my body. I read through the comments. The state of my body says otherwise. I always drink milk and I am a very, very healthy individual.
That's absolutely foolish. That;s like a smoker who runs marathons... pathetic logic and reasoning.
Yeah, yeah, whatever. Foolish this, stupid that. I've heard it allll before buddy.
If she wants to drink milk, she can drink it. Not sure why you're going around policing everyone's dietary choices here.
@Ihav2fart You definitely miss that one...
You don't know shit.
Thank you @musicbrain5 Someone put a leash on this guy.
A lot of people here need them.
Preach it!
Didn't open your link because I'm still going to chug the fuck out of milk anyway.
He's going to come back and harass you for it now like he did with everyone else lol.
@musicbrain5 ;) oh noessss
You guys are pathetic really
Drinking milk right now.
@musicbrain5 @CommieDearest HAHAA!
lmao
@musicbrain5 he's pretty feisty. Calm down QA, there's no use crying over spilled milk.
i don't know how accurate that first study conducted in Sweden is. There could be many other factors, and plus in the article it stated that vitamin D helps more with reducing bone fractures a. k. a. strengthening the bones. Furthermore Sweden being a very Northern country does not get a lot of sun, especially in the winter months when it starts getting dark at 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon. This leads me to believe, from evidence put forward in the article that, for Sweden at least, Vitamin D, or lack thereof, may play a bigger factor in the bone fractures than the milk does. Also I'm sure there are other things that effect bone strength that were not accounted for in the study. Now to answer the original question it's 'cause "it's sterile and I like the taste." Also I like it in my cereal, and I like it with PB&J sandwiches.
I don't drink milk eversince I was a baby until now, any type of milk.. As soon as I started to swallow it, I just vomit it all out... I don't have idea why, maybe there's something in it specifically or I just can't tolerate it...
By the way, that's an interesting article..
Drinking full fat cow milk when young actually provides a host of benefits for humans. It prevents allergy problems if young children drink it once they are past the breastfeeding stages. Yes it's designed for cows, but it offers good to humans who are not lactose intolerant. It offers healthy fats and can stave off hunger in a pinch.
Hunger supplement yes. High amounts of fat and protein... Good for children NO
Because oreos and milk is a match made from heaven!
cdn.themetapicture.com/.../...-oreos-milk-bowl.jpg
Do you stuff them in your face?
It's not like I am planning on living past 80. I'm sure whatever illnesses I suffer from drinking milk will take take the back seat to the approaching end of my life.
"leap of faith" Rent
No.
Some facts:
Human animal is the only animal that drinks another animals mammal milk. Also the only animal that continues to intake lactate after adolescence. Only mammals that are adolescent and developing consume milk from their mothers.
It is unnatural, therefore I do not partake.
We are also the only animals to watch television and film, communicate through use of language, live in apartments, houses, condos etc. besides the house pets that some of us own, (which is something else that you do not see with other animals), we are the only animals to observe religion, drive cars, etc. etc. etc. So if you do not partake in drinking milk because humans are the only animals to consume other animal milk, and therefore "unnatural" in your eyes, then maybe you should also not partake in any of the other things listed above because other animals don't do it.
P. S. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't drink milk, I just think that maybe you could benefit from reevaluating your argument.
No son. I'm talking about diet.
I make my own plant and nut based milk, I found out some of this info years ago and had to make the change. here's a link of how to make your own it's super simple www.vegetariantimes.com/.../
I grew up in a home where milk was served with breakfast, lunch and dinner. As an adult I have developed a lactose sensitivity and only use milk to cook with on occasion but rarely (if ever) have a glass to drink. I didn't know how bad it was for the body, but I find it a little weird that humans are the only mammal that drinks another mammal's milk regularly.
I rarely drink milk. Too much inflames my skin. But I do like the taste of jersey cow milk.
www.motherjones.com/.../a1-milk-a2-milk-america
Not good for health? This is the first time I've heard someone say that.
Milk is a complete and wholesome food with the right mix of nutrients that the body needs. Why does anyone even need marketing to sell it?
Well people who don't know shit regularly don't know about things...
I don't drink milk. I think I'm lactose intolerant. I think most people of color are prone to lactose intolerance (because like you said people really shouldn't drink milk)
White people can generally get away with drinking milk though because they've been ingesting it for much longer than people of color have (in variations of cheese in the like) so I think their stomachs are better adapted to it speaking from an evolutionary standpoint.
76 percent of the worlds population is lactose intolerant.
true and of that 24% that isn't most of them are white like I said European people have been ingesting milk for centuries. Their stomachs have evolved. If you look at the stats for lactose intolerance you'll see that Native Americans, African Americans, Asians, and Latin@s have the highest percentages of lactose intolerance while white people have the lowest
I said they can "generally get away with drinking milk" because of this.. it's still probably not a good idea for them to drink it though
correct
I drink milk because it's the single most delicious thing to drink ever. And as a bonus, it'll help me not get osteoporosis like my mom has.
Dumbshit... it causes bone loss
Funny how women in developed nations that consume a lot of animal protein suffer more from osteoporosis than women from undeveloped nations where animal protein intake is much lower.
While you may have a point, the problem is, as illustrated when you mentioned we shouldn't eat soy too; the stock of food that we can really eat becomes minimal, to the extent of pretty much solely being a vegan diet. So?
fucing levin
I have heard about how bad milk is. Stopped drinking it, then after a while, forgot/ignored and started drinking it again since so many things I eat have milk in it anyways... whats the point in not drinking it but then eating foods/snacks/drinking drinks that contain milk? :/ So I do still drink it. Not that I drink it in large portions or too regularly, but I won't say I'm a non milk drinker either.
Well I never drink it and stay away from dairy (once in a while some cheese maybe..)
It's not easy to get slipped dairy without know it lol
Anything in small portions doesn't have the mass effects we read about in those scientific research journals and stuff, the effects explained are usually referring to if you do those things regularly, like drink milk regularly or drink it over regularly, so I'm not scared :)
Well let's be real here. In america the dairy industry has a firm hold on the public and many children and adults have dairy ALL THE TIME. EVERY DAY ACTUALLY...
Well I guess those who do drink it regularly and over drink need to be worried and slow down. But I meant on a personal level as long as you monitor your self there's no need to go to the other extent of not drinking it at all or stopping eating everything with milk in it, because in small portions it will not have the bad effects. Ever heard the saying 'too much of anything is good for nothing'? This is the case with milk.
Yes, drinking in moderation would be better.
You need milk for calcium. At around the age of 18 your body won't store as much calcium. If you don't have much you will have calcium deficiency. So you should drink it for health benefits like that.
Information that you got from the dairy industry. But that's none of my business
Actually, it was from a nutritionist. I mean that's their job & what they went to school for, you somehow know more. But, that's none of my business.
Being a doctor and scientist I suppose I should...
If that's true, than why are you asking? You should also know that calcium is important, also as a doctor & scientists should you be so disrespectful to assume where I know my information & then add in "that's none of my business"? Okay.
omg Milk is not bad for you lol. It's only bad if you are lactose intolerant. And there's lactose free soya milk for that.
It's a great source of calcium and it's good for your body. Don't get brainwashed so easily by native advertising.
If professional research all over the world is under the umbrella of native advertising... sure
@theperfectdater You realize those "professional researchers" are the same ones who claimed Genetically Modified Organisms were perfectly safe to eat and even good for health. Then 5 years later they realized it could actually cause cancer. They are also the same ones who encouraged companies to use sucralose and aspartame instead of sugar because it was believed to be less harming. A couple of years later it turns out they were even worse than sugar.
You don't need a research to know milk isn't bad for humans, you just need common sense. People have been drinking milk for THOUSANDS of years. The healthiest of athletes have drank milk as a source of calcium. If milk was really bad for humans I think we would've realized it a long time ago. And even if it really is unhealthy to drink milk, it's negative effects are highly insignificant as proven once again by history. You can drink tons of milk and still be perfectly healthy.
I was never really a fan of plain milk (only times I would drink it is rarely when I have a random hankering for Chocolate or Strawberry milk but even then that's once in a blue moon).
I love cheese though :3
I drink it because cocoa powder tastes bad by itself.
Have you ever spread the powder on your booty?
So where is your data? I have never heard that milk is not good for you unless of course one is lactose intolerant.
Look at the link, it has some explanations. Milk isn't designed for humans.
https://saveourbones.com/osteoporosis-milk-myth/
And you are that old... Lol
Research alkaline vs acid. Or just plain think about how we are the only species on the planet that drinks another animals milk after weening off our mothers...
But hey what do I know Lol
Here is something that's revealing. Y'all can do your own research on the net.
Our Asker was correct. Father didn't know best this time.
www.collective-evolution.com/.../
This is interesting news. Can't wait to tell my wife I'm switching back to beer!
Now beer is bad... But fuck, how can anyone pass up a cold one.
I actually don't drink any milk at all. I just dislike the taste a lot and I'm very strange about buying mass-produced dairy. The USDA's regulations for it are very flimsy and pretty gross. LOL
Yes, I drink milk. Why? It's delicious. I'm aware of the studies, but I really just don't give a hoot.
Sure your proud of yourself to...
You probably the type to put milk on your boobies
Just wondering?
Stop what?
I drink milk. Because mainly I like the taste. I buy my milk from a local farm. So it is organic and healthy.
NO milk from a cow is healthy youngin
My grandparents drink milk for their entire life. They didn't have any problem
Thanks for the strawman. I will take it to the desert and have a weird festival around it...
I understood nothing you said. LMAO
When you were baby , under your bed there was a milk man or sth, frightened you? LOL
I guess it wouldn't make sense that you would understand what a strawman argument is... or ever heard of burning man... Fuck, kids these days.
no more strawman anymore! easy:)
I like the taste of it.
although I've always wanted to meet the guy who found it... WTF? was he like "ooh, look at this magnificent cow! I Wonder what happenns if I squeeze its soft pink dangly thingies..."
Humans are the only species that drink the milk of another animalwhich I find disturbing, but I do ocassionally have milk and dairy because like you said it is someothing that has become a tradition.
That alone should raise peoples eyebrows
It should but when people are set in their ways and hear things like "milk makes your bones stronger and its good for you" since they were children they get offended and think something is wron if you do anything differently. And this is an entirely different topic but they are also disgusted by the idea of drinking human breastmilk. If you dont want it from a human why would you want it from a cow?
I drink milk for the calcium, and because it's a pleasantly neutral flavor for me. I don't actually taste skim milk. Water has a taste, and it's usually not a good one, but milk? Nope.
Milk does NOT make your bones stronger. Your body is alkaline... The cows milk is extremely acidic. When acid enters our blood stream and the bones secret CALCIUM to dilute/counter this effect of the acid. Do some research on it. What you are speaking of is clever marketing and 'tradition' not facts.
So then the same thing happens when you drink soda, lemonade, and other acidic drinks?
I just did some research, admittedly not too in-depth, but I made sure to read articles from each side. I'm not seeing anything that would deter me from drinking it yet. I don't drink that much, and it DOES have calcium, so... I'm going to keep at it for now. But I'll keep researching, because this is kind of interesting.
Yeah no shit the same thing happens when you have those disgusting things Lol...
Hey bud that's great you are researching. Keep reading. You will undoubtedly see how fucked up it is. And if you really want to know just ask your doc about the simple science. Alkaline vs acidic and what milk scientifically (not dairy industry marketing) does to the body.
when you digest milk at a young age the effects are negligible, when you get older it causes you to gain uric acid at high quantities causing your joints to ache, it can be countered easily with sodium bicarbonate, let me ask you, do you know why milk works? because its acidic, because it can be digested and absorbed easily and has extremely high bio-availability (the rate at which calcium can be absorbed), the side-effects is the uric acid but it can be countered and avoided if you take low fat milk which has very low amount of lactic acid, and then just take sucrose, guclose or dextrose to help digest it instead since lactose is the primary requirement for digesting calcium phosphate and calcium lactate, you listen to all that crap in the net but you dont even understand whats spewing out of your mouth.
also the effects of gaining uric acid from milk can only be produced if you drink more than a few glasses of milk per day, and if you know anything about the interaction between alkaline and acid you'd know that sodium bicarbonate, a very available pill and product in carbonated drinks and water can easily counteract it, water another example is very alkaline and can also counteract it, therefore your argument is invalid.
No it all for stating some simple, observable, and reseachable facts... #makessense
I don't. I'm kinda allergic to dairy. And its gross. Almond milk is best
milk = turtle piss
I'm lactose intolerant so I only use certain types of milk and I usually only have it in cereal. I do put cheese on everything though..
relax with the cheese. Cheese is definitely addicting though. Actually proven to be so. Casomorphins is what you get in the human body when cheese is digested and it's similar to an opiate for humans.
Why are you telling everyone what they should be doing with their diets?
Why don't you stop trolling
I like it with certain foods. Like oatmeal, peanut butter sandwiches, etc
peanut butter sandwich... fucking gross. I would rather drink some milk
Lol whatever. I've liked them for years.
Humans aren't meant to ingest cow milk but considering all the other shit we ingest it isn't that bad.
I only use milk to eat cereal. I can't stand it. Bleh!
Yeah... so good with cereal. I miss those days. Although, there are some good alternatives to cows milk that you can use for cereal.
I mostly do soy. But even that I don't drink straight unless it's chocolate. Yummmmm.
Stay away from soy and do natural forms
I thought soy was natural lol?
Lol hell no!
Dang it! 😠
It's full of protein and carbs, just what I need for a bulk.
Won't deny that science. Is great for gains but bad for the body.
I have even drinking like 12 cups of milk a day for the past year. I should probably switch to almond milk. Lol.
Lot's of lifters drink even more Lol
Oops I meant 24, I fill up my shaker cup every time, which is 2 cups, and I drink about 12 times a day so that would be 24. My bad.
Still, I will be switching to almond milk.
What about goat milk? I hear some lifters drink that.
I believe goats milk is rich as fuck. I don't think the protein content is more than cows milk though. You would gain weight from fat drinking that...
I don't drink milk, but mostly because I don't like it. I do however drink yoghurt mixed with water.. Like 1/5 yoghurt and rest is cold water. So I guess that's my milk haha
calcium - your bones and teeth need it, but you shouldn't drink too much either. you have to find the sweet spot
The calcium in milk cannot be processed during digestion, because of other things in the milk.
then i really don't know
tell em
I HTE MILK AND DAIRY PRODUCTS IN GENERAL!!! THEY DESTROYED MY LIFE AS A TENN AND I DON'T WANT TO CONSUME THEM AGAIN!!! :@
To think I would have been fucking taller WITHOUT milk... boo
I'm allergic to it so I drink other milk alternatives like soy, almond, or rice milk. I can eat cheese and ice cream though :)
I would stay away from soy and stay natural. But nice!
Why stay away from soy milk? I've never heard anything bad about it.
I mostly drink almond milk or rice milk anyways because they taste better.
Not natural and linked to cancer and other health issues. Soy is a gmo made in the UK by a black scientist I believe
Why would his race have any relevance here?
Where did you hear that? Pretty much everything we eat is genetically modified. Corn is the biggest GMO crop in the world and its also the base ingredient for most of the food we eat today. All the produce we eat is cultivated (this is why the Paleo diet is complete BS). GMO doesn't automatically mean its bad for you either.
Because it was awhile back and I though it was interesting/ironic that a black dude was essentially coming up with something unknowingly that would become the substitute for milk for many blacks...
I like how you make a claim and don't even cite it.
Very nice, thanks. Real classy, telling me I'm a dick because I'm curious about your information.
thanks I keep it classy for the most part. Finally a damn compliment
I came to this question thinking I could maybe learn something from a good discussion without it dissolving into insults which is typical of other conversations on this website. Was I wrong? Can we start again perhaps?
This is the internet... There are no second chances.
Ah yeah, I knew I was wrong. I'm going to bow out now and go to bed.
send me pics
Pics of what? That's me in my avatar if you want to know what I look like. It's the only pic anyone gets to see.
Don't play coy and send some pics...
What are you going on about? What does she have to do with this? You're not getting pictures of me by the way, very sorry to disappoint you.
I'm just disappointed for you mostly...
Why is that?
What kind of pics do you have readily available?
Really, stop asking me for pictures. I don't even know you. It's weird how this conversation started with me saying I'm allergic to milk so I don't drink it, to you wanting pictures of me for no reason at all.
Glad to see you're done pestering me.
You are soooo thirsty that it's cute
I'm the thirsty one because you're asking me for pictures, that's pretty hilarious. Thanks for the laugh buddy.
i stopped drinking milk about 4 years ago.
yes, i've heard about that.
New study: www.collective-evolution.com/.../
Milk is brilliant for your health... it brings you calcium which is fantastic for strong bones :) ...
I drink it and i like it... mostly on my coffee or chocolate milk and well i love dairy products.
I know it tastes good and it's probably good for you but I can't drink it because it makes me very sick
I only drink it sometimes because I'm somewhat lactose intolerant... can only drink a little before I feel like crap
I personally don't drink milk. I've never really liked it, even as a child. The taste just doesn't do it for me.
I enjoy the taste, nothing is better with cookies or peanut butter. I'm trying out the substitutes like soy or almond to see what I think of them compared to cow.
Well im still alive and healthy bet its no more bad for you than fresh air
you are spreading the lies...
It causes osteoporosis
I drink milk and I love drinking milk. It's my favorite drink. Is it bad for you? No. Will I stop drinking milk if it was bad? HELL NO!!!
I have milk on occasion with cereal.
That's really the only time I have it.
Not ideal but probably no different than the occasional cheese on bruschetta
Because it's a several millennia old tradition (I'm Indian), it tastes good, and it's good for you.
FUCK YEA, MILK.
I had no idea milk was bad. I just assumed the standard benefit of milk which is to get calcium and drink for the sake of that.
negative. Yes, milk has calcium but the effect on the bodies is the opposite of popular belief
I don't drink milk, but I will eat cheese, and I LOVE my greek yogurt.
Be careful with the dairy... Not good in large quantities
Yo man I ain't giving up Greek yogurt. I have maybe two 6oz cartons a day. They supply a lot of my protein, they're low calorie, and they're delicious.
Cheese is more occasional.
Ewww you must be a bloat
What do you mean "be a bloat"? How can somebody "be" a bloat? Do you mean I must be bloated?
"Ewww you must be a bloat"
wtf are you going on about
I've just never seen the phrase "be a bloat" before so I didn't know what you were talking about.
I drink almond milk. I love the taste of it. I haven't drank cow milk since I lived at home.
Almond milk is something I will mess with from time to time. Can be good!
