Should I tan in the sun or solarium?

I have really pale skin. I have never tanned before. I have sensitive skin. Should i tan? Does it matter if i have extremely white legs?

I'm pale, to the point where I'm reflective, I've learned to live and let live. If you really want a tanned look, spray tanning is your best option, I have done that a few times and it can look really good and natural. Sun tanning and solariums can cause skin cancers and long term leave a crepe leathery texture to your skin. Try spray tanning but start with subtler shades so you don't go from white to orange. You can get at home products from the supermarket or go to a salon where you are likely to get a better result. If you're worried about Vitamin D pale skin people absorb it in a fraction of a time as darker skin people. While it may take an hour for a tanned person to get their daily amount of vitamin D pale skin people need only a small amount approx 5 minutes. If you are still worried about your Vitamin D levels you can get tablets and injections from the doctor. Good Luck, and feel good in your skin :)

I think tanning is a waste of time (and a waste of money if you go to a solarium) since you're just lying there, waiting for your skin to burn. Getting tanned while being active outside would be better, since you'd actually be doing SOMETHING.
Since you have sensitive skin and you haven't tanned before, don't go to a solarium. That would be super unhealthy for your skin.
I'm pale as fuck and I don't care. Caring about skin color is a waste of time, really.

Personally I don't think you should. I think pale girls are sexy. Besides putting yourself at much higher risk of skin cancer down the road, you'll also wrinkle earlier and more. I once knew this girl who would tan religiously, in the dead dark of winter she would be bright orange. If you got close to her face, you could see the premature aging and wrinkling on her face.

Most guys don't care that much about skin color. As for tanning, it may give you a certain look now, but especially for pale skin you run the risk of long term damage as well as skin cancer later in life, plus the pain of sunburn now.

They either love spending time in the sun or at the beach/pool (can't be helped), or they think it looks hot.

No don't do it, they are dangerous. A girl in my country died from melanoma at age 26 because she tanned all the time. The radiation from a tanning bed is far more extreme than from the sun. Don't do it!

Sure, Vitamin D. But that doesn't mean you need to tan, especially not in a solarium. That's horrible for skin.
