Migraines - any victims on GaG?

Just back from a grueling leg day workout and I think I worked out a little bit too hard today cos my vision was strobbing and I can't see clearly... now to add to it... I have a headache on the right side of my head... feels like someone is splitting my brain open from the inside out.

After a bit of quick WebMD , it looks like I have... Ocular Migraines.

Which sucks shit cos " they generally are harmless and typically resolve on their own within a half hour," ...

New personal best in the gym , new illness after the gym yah me.

I'm looking for a bit of advice here.
What do you do when you have a migraine?

I know this like 2 days old, but lavender oil.
Buy some lavender oil. Some people say to dilute it n rub it on your temples, but I never dilute it. I rub that shit all over my face, wherever it hurts (maybe pop in a painkiller?) and just lay down for a while. Hit up some acupoints or put on a really good guided meditation.

Just inhaling that essential oil can help though!
I had a really bad headache one time and I had a really sharp stabbing pain in my right eye and my left ear and the front and back of my head was pounding. I rubbed lavender oil on my face then laid down and kinda gave myself a shiatsu and it went away in less than 10 minutes. Next time it happens try it try it try it try it!
If you don't try it my heart will be broken and if you try it and it doesn't work my heart will be broken... Even though I'll probably forget all about this in the next 30 minutes.

When my shit happened, I went to the doctor.

But mines not really a migrane, it's more of a knot of viens that blew up in my head.

What I did was lie down. Then I passed out, after I threw up, but lying down helped me a little. Before it got worse. Maybe I just shouldn't have tried to answer this one.

I hear if you squeeze the web area of your hand that lays between your fore finger and thumb
this is suppose to take away any kind of headaces, these are pressure points that are suppose
to help take away the headache.

When I have a migraine I just lay down and give up.

I take two Excedrine tablets and then I try to take a nap. When I wake up, it's gone. The room has to be really dark, though. Your sense of light, hearing, and smell will be heightened and add to the illness. I don't like being awake when I have a migrane because I'm just in pain the whole time. BONUS: You might throw up sometimes.

I get them a lot from anxiety. Nothing can be more annoying.
When I get them, I usually take Tylenol and lay down. But too much medicine can cause rebound ones, so try other alternatives like heat/ice, acupuncture, and chiropractor adjustments.

Yeah , I ODed on Tylenol , took like 6 cos the sneaky bastard kept on moving around in my head.
At first it was the top of my head... then it sneaked to the right side... then it was behind my right eye , then it flattened itself against the top of both of my eyes... now it's hiding again somewhere..

I don't think this bottle will last me very long lol

I can't afford that lol , I'm not made of money. It's like $3000 CAD per night in the ER if you're a foreign citizen in Canada. Free if you're Canadian , not as free if you ain't.

Guess I'll just have to cross my fingers I won't die of a stroke or an aneurysm or maybe become permanently disabled but if I do hey whodafunkunfunkit?

Damn, that's expensive!! Do you have health insurance?
At 20, there's a very low chance you'll die from a stroke or aneurysm. Having high blood pressure raises your risk. I think you'll be fine. :)

If you have a high intraocular pressure after workout it could cause really bad headache 😕
Placing cold pads on the back of your neck could lessen the headache. Sleep could help lowering the pressure too 😐 hope you get well soon!

I used to get them sooo bad. And often. Some would last for a couple days.
Birth control literally stopped most of them.
Ice it, and ingest a lot of salt. That helps sometimes.

I had a migrain once were the pain was in my head and I had to put my hand on one eye and I remember I used to shake because of it and I also I think threw up once from that too but were I live now I don't get migrains as bad as I used to

Stabbing pain behind the eye is the worst!
I had it in my right eye earlier , I wanted to gouge it out just to get to it... OUCH OUCH OUUUUCH
Anyway , glad it's gone now , Tylenol on the standby for my days by the looks of it.

Water. It's too late to totally fix it, but drinking water (not chugging a ton though) will help a little bit I think.

when i'm on my period or when i've been sleeping too long i get migraines.

Yes. I drink some caffeine and take ibuprofen. Then turn the lights out and lay down.
