Can you pretend to be sober when you are drunk?

When we are out and all drunk I am the one who does the talking with people bc friends say i can "Act sober" can anyone else do this? is it a skill or what?

I've never been drunk so I wouldn't know. However, I you'd have to be at least partially sober in order to be able to act sober. Because when someone is blackout drunk, there's no way in hell that person is going to be able to pull off acting sober. And as a person who's been 100% sober on every single party ever, I can confirm that no drunk person has ever been able to convince me that they're sober. Usually only other drunk people will think they're sober, lmao.

It's both natural and an acquired skill - I act sober all the while even when tipsy i. e. I watch what I say, to who and in what context.

But you can't beat someone's perception and intention. There was this girl who managed to insist I was drunk cause I 'pretended' to drink while I wasn't ;-) I had mentioned this to quite a few of those present cause I wanted to prove that she was out to get me lol and she fell for it by insisting that I was talking trash cause I was drunk while everyone else there knew I wasn't lol
