Have you ever thought you were acting very sober when you were drunk but the next day you realized you weren't?

For example, in my first year of university I was at this party and I was very drunk. After that, my friends and I went to a subway and ordered sandwiches... I was very proud because I was devastated, but I could order what I wanted clearly and the guy gave me the sandwich.
Well... not really, that's what I thought. What really happened is that I couldn't even utter a single word, I was speaking Klingon at that time, it was my friends who told the clerk that I wanted a chicken sandwich.
When they told me this I didn't believe them until 3 days later when I went to the same subway and the guy reminded me of that night and told me what I did... I felt so ashamed... 🤣🤣

I personally don’t drink. If I did, I would not allow myself to drink enough to get drunk. You say you felt ashamed but you’re likely to do it again right? Been there but regarding a different topic. In general, I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving others responsible for my well being

I don't drink anymore, maybe once a month and moderately. But the first few years of college were crazy. At that moment I felt ashamed but to this day I remember it fondly and nostalgically.

I think we all try too hard to not sound drunk when we are. It never comes off sounding normal.
