I practice figure skating eight times a week. I'm not abusing my body since I have the need to move more than that. Genetically I have a bad back that I inherited from my mother but I have been taking extra good care of it lately by doing many exercises for the back. Just now I'm experiencing pain on the right side of my lower back and I'm wondering whether any of you know how I can prevent it from happening again. I haven't felt any pain there for a long time now since I've been taking such good care of it but now I'm trying to get more flexibility there and the results is this. I know for figure skaters it is common to have a ruined back but I want to prevent that from happening as much as I can. Is anyone here in a similar situation or knows something to help me?
