Was it over was it a nutritional deficiency or was it overworking my joints?

I decided to shy away from the computer for 2-4 days because my wrists were starting to hurt from typing all the time. Today I went to a buffet to eat since we got discount coupons in the male and after consuming beef, shrimp, chicken, fish, clams and crab legs, my wrists have for the most part stopped hurting. It makes me think my body may have been missing protein. Maybe it had nothing to do with me over working my wrists through exercise / repetition etc...
