At any rate to answer your question consuming dairy also helps. Dairy is meant to help build fat on young children and young animals. Eating more carbs might also help.
It really depends on how well your body processes it. For example if I want to lose weight I need lean protein to keep me full but not eat a lot at the same time. However if I eat carbs I don't find it filling and it adds more bulk to me.
Also depending on your body type you might not even be able to gain much weight.

If you have a naturally high metabolism it's going to be hard to gain in a similar way that it may be hard for a person with a naturally slow metabolism to lose. Doesn't mean it can't be done, though, just means you're going to have to be especially strict about whatever mass-gaining regimen you get on.
Eating meat (such as chicken) and eggs every couple of hours combined with a lot of weight lifting should make you gain.
Learn to appreciate your self first. Best thing is to gain weight slowly by increasing your calories and focusing on carbs.
