So if you met someone and he/she worked out and eats clean and you knew it would you want them to stop if you got in a serious relationship?

I workout so we'd have something in common.

As long as they're not trying to change how I workout and how I eat I don't mind. I consider myself fairly casual although I workout 4 days a week and do have dessert and such but I find a balance is necessary. She could do what she pleases and if we have a common workout goal to tackle we can do it together then do our own things after.

I notice I mainly don't get along with "personal trainers" and I put that in quotes because mosta the ones I meet are really just salesmen and struggle to workout with anyone who doesn't do the exact things they say and pursue the exact things they want you to do and they talk to others like they don't know anything and many preach horrible workout form. Doctors never recommend PTs because they constantly come back with injuries that they PT technically caused yet the PT will probably just blame the client anyway when they've been criticizing the client all workout to a point of anxiety.

I'm usually turned off by girls who work out. I like dainty, feminine girls, so ofc i wouldn't really want her to workout. But i think it is healthy to eat well, and that should continue wether you are in a relationship or not.

But as for myself, i NEVER stop working out. I workout daily, and i will continue doing so until i have the PERFECT body. I am an extreme perfectionist, and i can't even look at myself in the mirror unless my body is absolutely perfect. So i do it for myself because it gets on my nerves, not for other people. Once i obtain my desired body, i won't go to the extremes when i workout, but i will take it easy. I'll only workout enough to keep the body i earned. And i will never stop eating healthy no matter how perfect my body is.

My ex worked out every day and ate clean, usually. He was muscular and very physically fit when I met him. He lost his six pack after a while but I still found him attractive. I admired his dedication to his body, it takes a strong willed, dedicated person to keep up that kind of lifestyle. I liked him continuing it, I wouldn't have wanted him to stop, it was his way of life and what he loved/craved. He was doing it for himself, not to attract women. I didn't get with my ex just because of his looks though, so I didn't do the poll.

I think they should eat what they like and workout as they like.

I wouldn't want to be with someone who criticized my eating and workout habits though, and it would be disappointing if some of activities were limited because of their dietary restrictions (for example, if they never wanted to eat out at a restaurant or have a few drinks now and then).

But Thats the point, when you eat clean it becomes your life so you dont want to eat out or drink alcohol

Well, I guess that's sort of my point. You CAN eat out while on a strict diet. You just have to do some research beforehand about the restaurant's menu. Most restaurants will be pretty accommodating of dietary preferences. You can order a salad and bring your own salad dressing from home. You can ask for food to be prepared a certain way (for example, you can ask for your chicken or fish to be grilled or baked rather than fried, or you can ask that the chef not use butter or oil in your foods). You can usually get steamed vegetables.

So like, I wouldn't want to date someone who simply refused to ever eat out with me. But I'd be more open to a guy who was willing to eat out, even if it meant that he wasn't eating the same types of things that I would want to enjoy.

Yeah i changed my life for the better when i started eating clean but i gotta say you REALLY have to be comitted to it or its a lost cause so yeah no cake no soda no tea nothing with sugar its just small amounts of carbs and high amounts of protien lol

Myself as a guy take the effort to be as healthy and look as good as I can, I want a partner that will do the same.

Keeping up physical attraction, by both partners, is what keep the primal sexual fire going in the relationship! ;-)

No, why would I want them to stop that? I make a conscious effort to eat well and exercise, although I do have my vices, lol. Gotta live a little 😊

My husband is a fit guy - lifts, runs, always eats well. I like that about him because it fits my lifestyle. As long as he doesn't start forcing me to live a certain kind of healthy lifestyle, it's cool.

I'm quitting alcohol, at least for the moment. I cut out burgers mostly, sometimes eat them when nothing else is around.
