If I were to marry an Amazon woman, is there a high chance my children would be tall?

To be honest, it would be awesome having tall children (boy and girl). I grew another inch last month, which adds up to 6'3 by now.

My family members varied in height, some are taller and others are shorter (my father is just 2 inches shorter and mother is 5'6). Anyways if I were to get married to a 5'8+ tall woman or get an 6ft Amazon, is it more likely to have tall kids? I mean 50% of the gene can also come from the mother.

I'm just assuming. Wouldn't there be a higher chance to have tall kids than if I were with an 4'11 - 5'4 tall woman?

Yes. Both male and female genetics are involved in a new human. Females may even contribute more than males as the height of a woman can determine the size of the uterus and larger babies can be carried. I remember a scientific article that stated female genetics have most effect in the early years of a child and male genetics contribute more to height in the adolescent stages of life.

Also I'm the same height as you and my parents are the same height as yours. Our mothers are both 2 inches above female average and we're both 2 inches above our fathers. Small sample, but supports female effect on height.

It is hard to find such kind of women in every region (luckily my girlfriend is 6' LOL). 5'8"/175cm is already at the 96th percentile.

I agree 5'8 is a good height but if a bit taller would be great. If I don't find a 6ft woman, I'll go for the 5'8 - 5'11 ranges. It's cool to have a natural tall woman when she takes out her shoes and you can really see she's that height.
