i grew from like 5'8 to almost 5'11'' but that was mainly because my posture straightened and i was a late bloomer. I don't think lifting weights helps that way.

i was 18, but dont count on my case, it had hardly anything to do with growth plates, i was like 120 kgs and slouched like crazy, effectively, i must not have grown over 2 cm or so.

I felt like I only grew an inch or 2 that's about it, no 5 inches or a foot of height lol

Um once your down growing your done, going to the gym won't increase your height otherwise gym rats would be like giants among men lol.

Nope. If anything, you get very slightly shorter, due to compression of the spine.
