1400 is very likely to be below your Basal Metabolic Rate. That combined with an hour's walking will mean you're burning more than you eat, so yes, you will lose weight.
You could eat a little bit more (1400 isn't much) and jog with your dog too. I'm sure they'd enjoy the exercise!

you probably will. maybe instead of just walking do a light jog, or maybe even run :) just stick with your healthy foods and you will see results :D
