Yes, I get them fairly frequently. When I do, they're pretty mild; my brother had them a couple times and they were much more severe (to the point where his hands would go completely numb. He called an ambulance about it once). When I get them, it's usually just palpitations, shortness of breath, and shaky hands. And I get extremely fatigued when they're over. Panic attacks are the body going into fight-or-flight mode with no stimulus, and it really does take a lot out of you. A couple weeks ago I had a panic attack that continued off-and-on for 8 hours. And after it was over, I really thought I was going to faint from exhaustion.
Yes. Especially when I didn't know if I was going to get into the college I wanted and when one of my past boyfriends got in a fight...
Yes.
Over nothing - never.
When I feel anxiety over things like that I just have to remind myself- okay what's he worst thing that will happen if you don't get x? It will suck but things WILL be fine because it doesn't decide who you are than take controlled breaths. It works. Like when I was in between jobs for months and would wake up at 4 in the morning thinking the sky was falling but still had savings and severance. If be like what am I scared of, worst case I have to go home and live at my parents like a loser. Probably won't happen but that is the worst case. If it does the world will keep turning, it isn't permanent, it wouldn't be fun, but I'm smart and employable and will find work. Once I took that attitude it wasn't even a month before I got a great job. After 4 months of being unable to make a decision afraid of making the wrong move. It is funny how our fears can be so immobilizing like that, it was a vicious cycle for me. When I've never had a problem getting job offers.
Yeah, it is funny how we create our own prisons.
But here in Croatia it's damn well impossible getting a job and I find myself not being able to reason with myself about it. Because reason dictates I (as most young people) will probably never get a job, much less one where I can support myself.
Well... nothing is ever perfect.
I see your posts and you're a smart well rounded person. We all go through that in our twenties. It is kind of a scary time. I graduated from college in 2008 when the American economy was in shambles with no idea of what career I wanted so I understand. Being prone to anxiety made it worse.
I had to remind myself that I was capable and of all my accomplishments and I'd write them down in my journal for later in case I couldn't remember. If you don't have accomplishments that come to mind just remind yourself of all the people who love you and why they do. The most important part of getting a job is selling yourself as silly as it sounds. If you believe you a worthy candidate it shines through in your body language and tone so it is important. ❤️
Thank you. =)
Means a lot.
I will keep that in mind.
The bigger problem is the 30% unemployment rate in my country. It's literally impossible to get an interview, much less anything else. I do try and will keep on trying, though. I will keep your tips in mind and try not to let anxiety get the best of me.
^-^
I feel like I found some good advice without even looking for it. =)

Yeah, when @Toad-1 started scratching my furniture out of nowhere.
And then, when this cat deceived me and did this
Why, kitties? Why? *sigh*
But seriously? No, I don't think so. Panic attacks happen suddenly for no reason, while for me, when I see lizards, I get really scared. So this another story.
Yes I had 1 for 5 seconds when accidentally my crush, who tripped and was about to fall, to save herself from falling she accidentally grabbed my crotch, which included my entire package, then it had thrill, and sever pain and all mixed and a hidden boner too...

@CottonMuffin her excuse, "Sry, I thought I got grip on your belt." while, I had red face and I turned to men's room.
I've had plenty but I'm actually getting better.
One time the mowers were out working around my apartment and I got a panic attack because of the noise, I had to lay on the couch I was shaking and crying, most of my panic attacks have been noise related. I've gotten a couple from social anxiety and I still have a lot of social anxiety, it's easier to talk to people online but in person is when I get the social anxiety.
I used to suffer from debilitating Panic Attacks. I haven't had one for 3 years , but i fought for many years to free myself from them.
Sometimes i do feel the start of a panic attack coming on, but i can talk myself out of it becoming " full - blown" . So i have total control over them now, instead of my panic attacks controlling me. I no longer fear them!
After my friend died I used to have them often. But then I went to therapy, which honestly wasn't as helpful as the book my therapist suggested. Now I stopped having panic attacks altogether, which doesn't mean I don't get anxious sometimes, I just know how to diffuse it so that it doesn't become problematic.
Yes. During and after my break up, I developed panic disorder and quickly seeked help and was given medication. I haven't had one since and now can live a more relaxed, normal life.
Been living with panic disorder for three years. Its the worst part of my life.
